mary 🔔 i need to write esther's backstory. i am FAIRLY certain i have some inspirations / ideas for her. i don't want to make another basic douchebag variant backstory. most of the variants have similar occurrences in their lore. i want esther to be different.

the surgeon placed her thermos back on the table silently, grabbing her clipboard and clicking the pen again. charlotte didn't seem to notice; she was preoccupied with pressing little kisses to sombra's muzzle and looking delighted when he slid across her shoulders. "you are so cute!!"

the surgeon then dropped him to the ground and continued to calmly walk down the hallway. her pager was already going off steadily now and she knew she was late. the eerie calmness of her demeanor did not waver when she pushed open the door of the operating room, shutting it firmly behind her.

while esther could withstand a lot of stuff, it was almost universal that the variants didn't like being touched. the surgeon calmly spun around, grabbed him by the collar, and slammed him against the wall hard enough to prove a point. "please refrain from touching me. I don't like it." --

the reclining variant remained silent, taking a small sip of the coffee from her thermos. charlotte ran towards sombra, throwing her arms gently around the serpentine body. "you're so cool!! you're the best ever, sombra," charlotte praised, nuzzling her head against his muzzle.

a subtle raise of her brow. the surgeon did not appear shocked by the sudden voice breaking the silence. esther's lips parted to respond when the door swung open. the sol hedgehog immediately halted in her tracks when she noticed the snake. "hey, esther-- OH. PUPPY," charlotte exclaimed excitedly.

the surgeon does not appear willing to approach the serpent despite her curiosity. not due to fear; mostly due to sudden disinterest. with optics focused on the clipboard, esther slowly reclined in a nearby chair. reaching for her thermos of coffee.

staring at the serpent with a deadpan expression, dull brown eyes, and a discerning gaze. clicking her pen, she began to write on a sheet of paper attached to a clipboard. after a moment, the writing utensil was clicked again and placed in the breast pocket of her scrubs.

【 shipping call 🩺 】 25+ muses ONLY. requires heavy chemistry though pre - established is fine with plotting beforehand. muse is demisexual with a heavy male lean. ships will be added to the SHIPS LIST. each ship exists in their own universe. NO HUMAN MUSES. MUSE IS 30+ YEARS OLD.

"that's nice. now, i'll be taking my leave. i have surgery to perform. please exit the room or i'll have you escorted out," the immortal replied calmly, walking by him brusquely and out into the hospital hallway. she did not bother to bestow a singular glance in his direction.

mary 🔔 😌 thank you so much!! i'll keep that in mind!! esther and the other variants don't usually lash out or threaten anybody because they are REALLY dangerous and it can be lethal. so basically? they never miss. 🥹 they always follow through with threats.

000

the former assassin remained silent until her latex gloves were on, releasing them with a snapping noise. esther slowly turned to pico, eyeing him with a vaguely disdainful yet eerily calm expression. "i am performing surgery on a patient; nothing more nothing less. i'm a general surgeon, fool."

000

mary 🔔 😭 i'm still trying to write her backstory, but i THINK i have her personality down. so i apologize for any gaps in the portrayal! i'm still trying to work out some stuff of what i want her to be like 🥀 but yes >:) she can do that!!

looking him up and down briefly. her deadpan features don't seem to waver, nor does she crack a smile. instead, she begins to place both hands in latex gloves. "while i would like to debate which of us has the better salary, i'm due to perform an operation soon."

mary 🔔 I'M SO GLAD YOU LOVE HER 🥺 esther is really mean 😭 i think most of the variants of douchebag ( @killjoydoll.bsky.social ) are mean. i can't wait for him to realize he fucked up / silly.

110

mary 🔔 gentle and immediate reminder that esther is NOT nice. she will NOT take disrespect. i think it's really funny to see her reaction to being insulted.

mary 🔔 because esther is a general surgeon, she is most likely the oldest DB variant and is thirty years old. you need about 13 years of higher education to be qualified for that position. that being said, i'm DEFINITELY going to be strict with shipping since she's an older adult.
