while esther could withstand a lot of stuff, it was almost universal that the variants didn't like being touched. the surgeon calmly spun around, grabbed him by the collar, and slammed him against the wall hard enough to prove a point. "please refrain from touching me. I don't like it." --

the reclining variant remained silent, taking a small sip of the coffee from her thermos. charlotte ran towards sombra, throwing her arms gently around the serpentine body. "you're so cool!! you're the best ever, sombra," charlotte praised, nuzzling her head against his muzzle.

a subtle raise of her brow. the surgeon did not appear shocked by the sudden voice breaking the silence. esther's lips parted to respond when the door swung open. the sol hedgehog immediately halted in her tracks when she noticed the snake. "hey, esther-- OH. PUPPY," charlotte exclaimed excitedly.

the surgeon does not appear willing to approach the serpent despite her curiosity. not due to fear; mostly due to sudden disinterest. with optics focused on the clipboard, esther slowly reclined in a nearby chair. reaching for her thermos of coffee.

staring at the serpent with a deadpan expression, dull brown eyes, and a discerning gaze. clicking her pen, she began to write on a sheet of paper attached to a clipboard. after a moment, the writing utensil was clicked again and placed in the breast pocket of her scrubs.
