Darren Close @killeroo.bsky.social · 12/03/2025The fine folks at Jeffries Printing have come through with the goods once again, for this 5th printing of the origin story, KILLEROO: SCARS, featuring a brand new cover by Shahan Zaidi. Will have these with me for Melbourne Supanova on March 29-30. 082

Darren Close @killeroo.bsky.social · 03/03/2025I worked on the production side of this book, made by my friend Beau Jardine, who was making comics when I was a kid, including Hairbutt the Hippo! It just launched on kickstarter, and for $4 digital and $8 for a physical comic, that's a bargain. Check it out! 020
Reposted by Darren CloseHayden Fryer @coffeeicus.bsky.social · 27/02/2025I've been compiling the next Ink Art book with pieces from the earlier Ink Sketchbooks over the last few nights. While it's fun to revisit some, others less so. But compared to the selection of A5 pieces in Volume One, I'm generally way happier with how more of these have held upon reflection. 0113
Darren Close @killeroo.bsky.social · 26/02/2025I'm having to reprint the best-selling Killeroo origin story SCARS for a 5th time this month... here's a look at the cover by Shahan Zaidi! As always, credit to this book's success is due to the great work of Ryan Wilton and Daniel Lawson (under the TEAM ART OF AWESOME banner). 0203

Darren Close @killeroo.bsky.social · 13/02/2025Saw Captain America: Brave New World today. It was fine. But not the big screen spectacle I was hoping for, felt more like an extended episode of Falcon & Winter Soldier. One thing I was struck by was how weak the soundtrack was - no big themes to be heard like previous Cap films. 020

Darren Close @killeroo.bsky.social · 25/01/2025Looks like my flatmate and I have found a new place to leave, as we’ve been evicted twice in 3 years due to the landlord selling the house from under us. Make no mistake, landlords are doing it tough, but not as much as their tenants just trying to keep a secure roof over their heads. 170
