INSANE List of #indiegame Demo's I'll be streaming the next two days!

First time ever playing #ContentWarning, and was lucky to have the amazingly talented and funny @snoot.bsky.social Digwood and Mortalsmurph as teammates. Lost my voice laughing so hard.

Today, I'll be trying to add both Standard and Vertical Formats to Youtube, in addition to Twitch. Not sure how/if this is going to work, but giving it a shot.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Both of these streams were the same game (Kenshi), on consecutive streams. Concurrent viewers was a bit misleading because it looks like it peaked immediately when I went live, then settled down to about a 3 viewer average.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

My whole life is a meme. I'll be streaming in one of these as soon as we get them on the merch store. You'll never know which one because I don't stream with a camera.

Felt GREAT to be back into Dwarf Fortress last night. I'd just finished lamenting how "quiet" the playthrough had been with no raids/sieges when we were attacked by a "Were-Tapir". This 'lil fella caused quite the rumpus, infecting a dwarf who turned on the next full moon and went on a rampage.

Absolutely INSANE Day #1 of the "Killadrix's Indie Week Content-Pocalypse!" One of these VoD timelines is markers from me, my mods, and the community TODAY, and one is from the same people during my most recent stream of Rimworld. This is what CONTENT CREATION looks like to me 😂

Most Recent RimWorld Stream (THIS IS NORMAL).

Review your videos to see where your viewers stopped watching and WHY? Go into those videos at the average view duration (AVD) and look for dead air or lapses in action that could have been edited out.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 15/01/2025

For any content creators out there making #YouTubeShorts, your average percentage viewed (APV) is a CRITICAL metric that allows the YouTube algorithm to determine if your video is "quality" or not (and whether to keep pushing it). Look to achieve 100% or higher for maximum push.

One of my favorite parts about processing my VoDs is stumbling across the titles of the clips the community leaves me. Especially when they're memes.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 12/01/2025

71 Vintage Story clips ready to be processed into compilations and shorts tonight! Really excited about every single one of these clips. Can't wait to see the final products.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 01/01/2025

Well, it FINALLY HAPPENED! A YouTube Short from the game I've streamed for 5,000+ hours FINALLY achieved more views than the short from a game I played for 2 hours and never streamed. I've been waiting MONTHS for this.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

This video gave me a chuckle as the progression went from “dig a hole” to “manufacture a 3-story glass death trap designed for maximum carnage viewing” 😂 Great video, as always.

That time I almost walked straight into this super deep hole in @vintagestorygame.bsky.social , and then took a peek down...

Everyone wanted to know how I almost never got lost in my "No Map, No Portal" run of @valheimgame.bsky.social but it's not really that hard because I'm a bit of a cartographer.

Actual map created live on-stream used to expertly navigate between bases (and other stuff).

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 19/12/2024

Just wrapped up my 15th stream of our "No Map, No Portal" Valheim run, during which the community tracked my travel and annotated the map with quotes. I might have misread this swamp a little bit 😂

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 19/12/2024

Because, OF COURSE this game is a steam recommendation from @sonoket.bsky.social.

Thanks to everyone for an AMAZING YEAR! None of this would be possible without the support of our wonderful community and the talented friends I have in streaming and content creation, from whom I am always learning. #TwitchRecap

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

My #Twitch Front Page was AMAZING! It would have been impossible to plan a stream more iconicly "me" than: * Doing literally nothing to prepare for it * Running around in the dark lost for the entirety of it * Dying and losing all of my stuff in the dumbest way possible right at the end of it

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

After years of content creation, I’ve become immune to every type of comment except this one: ❌ Telling people they’re playing a single player game a “terrible way”. I can’t imagine running around the internet telling people that they’re “having fun wrong.” It’s so crazy.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

My advice to new content creators is: * It takes time, be patient * It takes practice, be disciplined It took me 2.5 years and nearly SEVENTEEN HUNDRED videos to start feeling like I'm "getting it" with YouTube. It's an INSANE amount of watching, reading, learning, testing, and seeing what works.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

This picture tells the story of my current colony progression: Small base -> large base -> small space ship -> large space ship -> oops, back in a small base on the ground 🤣 We had a bit of a "space oopsie". *Someone* went "all in" against an Archotech Sphere (AND WON!), but lost our ship.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 24/11/2024

I've become obsessed with creating the most cringe TTS #Twitch follower notifications.

010

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

But I got handed to TikTok, they had the video back up in less than an hour.

120

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

Well, it took about 80 videos and nearly 3 million views, but I finally got my first bogus TikTok community guidelines video takedown. It was a six-second #rimworld video that had nothing to do with financial frauds or scams 😂

140

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 23/11/2024

The picture on the right is the ship at the end of yesterday's stream, the picture on the left was at the end of today's! It's looking GREAT! Always love returning to the Save our Ship 2 mod in #Rimworld.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 22/11/2024

Announcement: I’ll be featured on the front page of #Twitch on December, 4th! The quote in the image below was pulled from yesterday’s stream where I was pondering what to play for the occasion. Probably shouldn’t be RimWorld. But, what then?

000

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Congratulations to @snoot.bsky.social for making it to the front page of #Twitch! Well deserved : )

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Me to every game developer who watches me play their game, "I'm so sorry I fuck up your game so badly in front of ~150 average viewers all day." But, the Save our Ship 2 (RimWorld Mod developers) are always kind enough to go through my VoDs to offer feedback and help.

040

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

Well, we finally hit it. Onward to 10k!

Dear Content Creators, How do you stagger your timed-based commands in your stream chatbot? No matter how I configure the Time + Lines of Text, they all just spit out like a giant wall of text.

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 07/11/2024

Well, I finally ran into the Nociosohere today in the RimWorld Anomaly DLC. It ended my amazing run 😂

Killadrix @killadrix.bsky.social · 05/11/2024
