I am always wondering if its the graintexture, low saturated colors and misprint that makes it have that magic for me. Or would it still stand out when done in illustrator.

Loved working on this! I’m seeing myself working more detailed in this style. Inspired by the early Richard Scarry illustrations. If only I’d dare doing this analogue one day. This book is coming out soon! #illustration #kidlit #picturebooks #kidlitart #digitalpainting #gouache

It is so deeply sinister to design an app for addiction, rip it away, and then bring it back as a propaganda machine. Keeping people glued to screens, terrified over everything out of their control, while feeling isolated from their own communities. It’s just vile.

Oh man. RIP David Lynch. I’ve only just taken my Twin Peaks : The Return box set off the shelf for a rewatch this afternoon. There was no one like him.

One of my selfwritten titles. Such a joy to work on and still very proud of how it turned out. Thinking of a sequel. What do you think? Is this an appealing style for us/ uk market? I do t see scribbly very often. #picturebook #kidlitart #childrensbook

In the Netherlands we’re very fortunate to have not one but two holiday feasts in one month. A couple of weeks before Santa arrives we welcome Sinterklaas and his helpers. I illustrated a story on his past. Here are some pictures. #illustration #kidlit #picturebook #kidlitart
