where i live we keep a mutual respectful distance bc they are wild animals after all but i enjoy admiring them and make sure not to make our yard or our home hostile to them and we've genuinely never had any issues with them, and definitely no issues with them cohabitating with the many birds either

i think alot of people are selective in their empathy for animals, EVEN amongst mammals, and it shows when people talk about animals they clearly see as less deserving of dignity or respect.

the traffic is so bad in omaha and lincoln. its a multi-faceted issue with many factors at play but i can assure you it is NOT because of zipper merges and transplants. just fucking ridiculous. this state will fr never change or improve if people genuinely think like this 😭😭😭
