Anytime I see cons that denied IR/MC authors, I roll my eyes and remember my mom saying I’m not for anyone who’s not for me. IR/MC romance authors get excluded all the time from supposedly diverse events bc we write Black women being loved by everyone.

For many years, at least 12, I would put out a message on my mom's birthday urging people to stop smoking. Well, it's April 6th, and I'm not going to do that this year. Instead, I'm going to give you one of her recipes.

Pineapple Cheese Cake

8oz Cream Cheese
2 Eggs
¾ c Sugar
1 Med can Crushed Pineapple
Graham Cracker crust
Bake at 350 degrees
You can either buy a pie crust or make one using Graham Crackers, follow the instructions on the box.
Cream the cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each egg.
Drain Pineapple well before adding to the mixture. Pour into crust and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove and add crumb topping to the top and bake for another 20 minutes.
