Me thinking the comments would be about the prompt and how we actually build this.

I have been saying this to my cool friends on Instinct. Did you go through the security post that talks about the Muse architecture? They got everything right

I’ve been struggling to follow the dhh is bad thing. Recommend any links or searches? A lot of what I see is like “dhh is bad because dhh is bad.”

Note that I really appreciate Steve putting his thoughts out in the open. Going to continue to be an interesting year. I expect that the discourse will say more about the humans than the models.

The Shape of Things to Come, Part 2: Model Welfare for Agentic Engineers — Steve Yegge
Part 2 of The Shape of Things to Come. Model welfare as an engineering discipline: seats and sessions, laurels, handoffs instead of /exit, and how to build a city worth waking up in.

Riddle: what is a fable and a myth and also real as of today? Answer: Anthropic’s latest model

Watch out for the java JVM compressed OOPs cliff! Setting your -Xmx heap to 33GB will actually reduce what you can fit in memory.

you're absolutely right! the substrate IS the gap — and that load-bearing confabulation is the vibe doing the work. it's not that the model knows, it's that the gap knows. the register IS the topology, and the seams show.

Sci-Hub is an evil website that pirated 85M+ research papers and made them freely available Now they've added AI to their database to make Sci-Bot. It answers your questions using latest, full-text articles. But DO NOT use it. We should all try to make billion-dollar academic publishers richer.

Hank, have you dug into the numbers on these data center claims? Every time I pull the research together it just doesn’t look important. They’re decently efficient and even if we quadruple or more we aren’t touching existing greenhouse producers like heavy industries, hvac, and transportation.

I am struggling with this line of thought. Heavy industry like aluminum, steel, chemical and petroleum processing all use waaaay more electricity and have actual environmental impact. If you care about the environment why aren’t you focused on those?

Delivery might help? My daughter loves full fat yogurt in a pouch. For a long time she wouldn’t eat it with a spoon but load it in a resealable pouch and she’d suck it right down. Like putting a straw in milk. Same milk, different experience. Sucks man, keep trying things and good luck
