DoorDash seems to not care that ICE agents are shooting their workers while they on the job. Community members are the ones who have gotten Wilber medical attention in detention and legal support — without a single shred of help from this multibillion dollar corporation profiting off his labor.

An NBC News article reads: “Garcés Perez, who Lincoln-Goldfinch said lives in Austin, is a DoorDash driver. In an email, a company spokesperson confirmed Garcés Perez was making a delivery at the time, adding that DoorDash is investigating and would not release more information “at this time.””

I’m proud of bike advocacy groups when they speak out about the climate crisis and the rise of racial authoritarianism/fascism. Even prouder when they integrate into those movements. It’s uncommon in my experience. Lots of organizing needed for folks to internalize the connections.

Seemed like they came in response to a 911 call for an ambulance which is scary. The bicyclist who had called had gotten treatment from another medical professional in the crowd and was also treated in the ambulance, leaving the uber driver and his passenger surrounded by HSI and Marshals.

The square dance at Pierce Mill on Sat was hours of pure joy. Sadly at 10 pm HSI and US Marshals showed up in cars with blacked out plates But then a dozen+ people stepped away for an hour to document and ensure an Uber driver was not taken by them. So proud of DC. #FreeDC
