12 Volunteers showing up on a weeknight to knock doors in Putnam County. We’ve made over 4000 voter contacts this cycle so far. Would have been more volunteers but a few of our candidates are studying up to prep for a forum tomorrow. We’re small, but we’re making a big impact here.

Fair but I think high level naked corruption that can’t be stopped is worse than high level hidden corruption that can’t be stopped. One good thing here is that we aren’t seeing too much low-level petty corruption (bribing cops, etc.). That stuff is even harder to root out once it’s ubiquitous.

Bottom line: if hospitals are still kicking your ass during price negotiations, let Medicare negotiate for you. The problem, noted by the Brown study, is that hospitals' profit margins would fall. That prob explains that lack of movement in Trenton.

People love threatening to murder people for legally riding bikes. Of course drivers regularly hit cyclists riding in painted bike lanes or shoulders. It's almost like motorists don't need any excuse to inflict violence upon bicyclists.
