Write a test and it shows up right in your dev environment, in a sidebar next to the app you're building. Hit play and watch it drive your real app, in the browser you already have open. No second window, no CI round trip. twd.dev/getting-started

An agent opened a pull request on my repo. Eleven files, three new tests, all green. The diff tells you what the agent believes it built. Not what a person using it would see.

Every React Testing Library test you've written runs against a fake DOM. We all accepted that years ago. Last week I called render() inside a TWD test just to see what would break.

Let’s assume for a second AI is making you more productive. Is it making your life any better? Are you healthier? Happier? Have more free time? Have richer social lives? Greater fulfillment? I’m not being hyperbolic, the main thing AI has increased in my life is misery. How am I supposed to act?

Your AI writes tests. But do they actually run? Most don't — they run in a fake DOM or a separate browser, not the one you build in. TWD runs them in your real browser, in a sidebar, and lets your agent write → run → fix → repeat, until green. twd.dev

Not every app has a bundler. A folder of HTML and JavaScript still ships real software, and its testing story is usually thin. TWD tests it in the real browser, loaded from a CDN import map. No build step. And the tests survive a later move to React or Vue, unchanged. dev.to/kevinccbsg/t...

How many times have you left a Dependabot PR to die out of fear it might break something? We went from that to a green pipeline, review, and merge in under 5 minutes. The key is our testing architecture with twd.dev. If you don't have that security, you're just accumulating debt.

348 flow tests in 3:24 minutes. These aren't isolated unit tests; they simulate the browser, validate mocks against the backend, and track coverage. At 1.7 tests/second, testing is finally the foundation for our AI, not a bottleneck. Stop relying on luck; trust your pipeline. twd.dev

I changed how I build features with AI agents, and tests are now the starting point instead of the afterthought. When I write a spec, I stop describing the feature. I add the requirements as context, but my real job is to think about what I need and how it should be tested. Not how to implement it.

Beware of "Guess Coders," the developers who spend days building hyper-complex abstractions for a hypothetical future that never exists, yet don’t have time to write a single unit test. Stop guessing what the future needs and start testing what your users need today.

Payment widgets. Map SDKs. Video players. Chat widgets. You can't type into the card form. You can't click a marker at a specific lat/lng. You can't force onSuccess on cue. So the API call after the callback, the analytics, the error handling. All untested. TWD swaps the SDK out.

Contract testing without a broker, without a provider verifier, without a separate suite. TWD validates the mocks you already write against your OpenAPI spec on every CI run. Required field missing? Run fails. Wrong format? Run fails. Drift caught before production.

Your tests pass. CI is green. But are you testing the right things? A page that loads doesn't mean the form submission works. A route can show as "covered" while the core interaction has no test at all. /twd:test-gaps scans routes and flags the ones with real risk first.

Your mocks are lying to you. The backend renames a field, tightens an enum, makes something required. Your mock keeps returning the old shape. Tests stay green. Production breaks. That's why we included contract testing in twd twd.dev/contract-tes...

We build apps that run in a browser. Most of our tests don't. They run isolated in node. Close to a real browser. Not one. The failure that only shows up in the real DOM never gets caught. TWD runs the test where the app actually runs.

Kevin Martínez @kevintwd.bsky.social · 18/05/2026
Test what you own. Mock what you don't. That's the rule. Your code is what changes, what breaks, what ships. That's where tests pay off. Map SDK, payment widget, analytics layer, third-party iframe: stub them and move on.
