It's after midnight so it is now my late husband's birthday. He was a decade older than me so we always knew he might go first (I hated it when he reminded me of this fact), but we never really talked seriously about what to do when it happened. Thought we'd have more time. 😭

I have the lowest expectations of the Gold Glove Awards so this was a pleasant surprise. Still grumpy Joe Mauer didn't win at least one Gold Glove Award at 1st base (there was one year he should've won). And forever grumpy that the best defensive 1st baseman I've seen (Hrbek) never won one.

I'll note, if you live in Minnesota (and probably in other states) you can download the Docket app and sign up, and it will give you your immunization records. I got this back when it was a useful way to prove my "vaccinated against COVID" status but it also tracks all the other immunizations!

I’m so very tired of being told that conventions can’t have decent policies in place to protect their members because it means fewer people will show up. There are many people who will not show up if a con doesn’t have decent policies re SARS-CoV-2. Good to know which people are wanted I guess!

COVID-19 levels on the CDC's National Wastewater Surveillance System. The blue and dark blue states are all classified as "Very High" with the darker blue (including MN) being the worst. Please, everyone, take precautions.
