You know what I really hate? When my friends don't have health insurance. Especially when the situation is "I could come get you and bring you to a doctor but we're not going to do that because bankrupcy." I can always scrape up some food or gas or clothes, but not high-level health care.

The thing about being disabled is that sometimes it's just disappointing. Ableism is real, but a lot of things aren't the result of ableism. They're just laws of physics or natural limits of resources, including the ability to communicate or expend energy. It sucks. But it isn't anyone's fault.

I was previously using a clamp lamp with a halogen bulb, which worked fine but got very hot and the switch was right next to the bulb. I bought a Speedball screenprinting kit because I needed the photoemulsion in a hurry and they didn't sell it separately at the store. It came with the lamp.

I understand now, btw. Something huge and sad had happened, we were kids, there was nothing we could do about it, and the message coming down was to love your country about it.
