I'm finally home after spending the last two weeks house/pet sitting for various and sundry friends and family. I think someone missed me 😁

So I found an old notebook recently and found a bit of a puzzle related to #Titanic that I was working on. This is my reconstruction of her progress on her final day afloat. Most who have studied the disaster know that the wreck is quite far east of where her crew thought she was.
An image showing Titanic's estimated positions during her last day afloat:

At noon on April 14: 43° 2' North, 44° 31' West.

At 5:50 PM on April 14: 41° 59' North, 47° 3' West.

Collision with the iceberg: 41° 46' North 49° 56' West

Wreck site: 41° 43' North 49° 57' West

Captain Smith's distress position: 41° 44' North, 50° 24' West

4th Officer Boxhall's distress position: 41° 46' North, 50° 14' West

Both distress positions are far west of where the ship actually sank.

Lately, in my #StarcraftII games, I've been trying a new way of playing where I apply some aggression and then drone behind it...and I gotta say, Terran and Protoss players, it's embarrassing how many of you fall apart when you have to defend for a change! I thought you guys were multitasking gods!

Saw this on the other site and thought I'd comment. This is why I don't believe the theory that Titanic/Olympic were built with bad steel. Olympic survived FOUR separate collisions with other ships, as well as being torpedoed during WW1 and was never in danger of sinking.
Pictures of RMS Olympic and HMS Hawke after their collision in September 1911. Olympic has a large v-shaped hole in her starboard stern, while the Hawke's bow is smashed completely flat.

Looking back at old pictures today. This first image is six years old. Since then I've dropped 112lbs, significantly improved the production value of my stream, and become a MUCH better housekeeper! Compare that to this picture of me at a restaurant in Key West a few weeks ago:

One of my favorite comfort meals: Ribeye steak w/ roasted redskin potatoes and asparagus. The last time I made this was shortly after my grandmother died in June. Think it might be time to make this again!
