2024 was a mixed bag. Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2025.

I owe him a lot. First director to ever give me the time of day. He even sent me a bottle of champagne on the first day of shooting my debut feature.

Was just reminded of the time I took my late mum to the BURKE & HARE premiere back in October 2010. She was hellbent on getting this photo…

It only took @jamesmoran.com and I 12-years to get there. VERY happy with this one. This project was announced very prematurely back in 2012. We’ve brought it back from the dead, given it a fresh coat of paint, and are starting again from scratch.

Oh wow. I don’t have any pictures from that. Remember it well though. I do have this, which I think was taken at your 18th maybe?

Just watched Bogdanovich’s THEY ALL LAUGHED for the first time. What a beautiful movie.

Hot take… I preferred the FRIDAY THE 13TH video game over TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE.

UK folks, I’ve got some signed items up for sale on my eBay store, including officially licensed Slaughtered Lamb beer mat, screen worn Wookiee fur from SOLO, and the last FIVE copies of my OOP Lost Boys book. Might find a cool little Christmas gift in there. www.ebay.co.uk/usr/celluloi...

I have a shrine to Freddy’s Revenge in my office.

Paul Davis @kesslerboy.bsky.social · 29/11/2024

I wanted this because it had a little black and white photo of Freddy in it, but this was actually my introduction to THE EXORCIST - which had just been outlawed in the UK per the regulations of the Video Recordings Act. My parents absolutely forbade me from EVER seeing it… SPOILER: 1998…

I was 5-years old when I picked this issue of Fangoria off the shelf in a newsagent by South Croydon bus garage in February 1987. It changed my life! Keep the cycle going people. Subscribe and get @fangoria.bsky.social for a 5-year-old in YOUR family. Thank me later.

I think the name ‘Ayla’ in CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR may be spoken more times than ‘Carol Anne’ in POLTERGEIST III and ‘Michael’ in THE LOST BOYS. Don’t quote me on that though. I’m not counting.

All smiles at the former Ceco Studios on New York’s West 54th Street, as Max Von Sydow and cinematographer Owen Roizman wait for cameras to roll on THE EXORCIST.

A musical, sex comedy that literally degenerates into the Manson murders. Nothing else like it.

I love that. Here’s a couple of behind the scenes shots I’ve never posted for both…

Now I’m watching ENCINO MAN for the first time in 30-years and I swear to the God’s of cinema it’s for research purposes.

Just rewatched the Mark Robson directed THE PRIZE (1963) with Paul Newman, Elke Sommer and Edward G. Robinson. I’ve never read the Irving Wallace novel, but if it’s as batshit as the movie is then I’ll have to remedy that. “I’m just an actor who specialises in political fraud.”

Apparently it’s #DoctorWho day, so here I am as the King Sandman from Season 9’s “Sleep No More”, and on the Tardis on my day off from shooting.

There’s a very cool story attached to it that not a lot of people realise, but is clear as day once you see it. They shot his scene on the doorstep twice. First early in the shoot, and then later in the shoot when his cancer had really made him look more skeletal.
