First year doing a Halloween glam and of course I choose some weeb nonsense. (Tai's an alchemist, that alchemy is basically magic anyway, he has the braid, it makes SENSE.) #FFXIV

Tai (a miqo'te man with pale skin, brown hair in a braid and long bangs pulled to the side, turquoise eyes, and dark markings around his eyes) dressed as a fantasy version of Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist: long red coat with some black accents, black undercoat, white gloves with markings on the back. He stands in a cozily-lit, dark-palette room, looking thoughtfully at a bookshelf.

Tai standing in a gray wasteland, with some vaguely fantasy/old Germanic-looking builings in the background and some sort of purple electrical disaster contained in some ruins. He is dressed as Edward and has punched one hand with the other, glaring at the camera. "He does like men, you know."

Tai starts at the sound of Thancred's voice. The pages of his book snap back into focus, although he has no recollection of where he left off. Thancred smirks slightly where he stands at Tai's side.

"I'm sorry," he says mildly. "I must have missed something. Hello to you, too."

Thancred's smirk widens. He drops himself into an empty chair, takes a swig from his tankard, and nods toward the other side of the room. "Urianger, I mean." The man in question is engaged in some lively debate with Y'shtola and another Scion whose name has slipped Tai's mind. Tai had, perhaps, looked over once or twice, but did not see a need to interrupt.

Instead, he blinks at his own interruption, eyebrows raised. "Okay," he says. "Good to know?"

"He told me once over drinks, ages ago." Thancred continues, shrugging in feigned casualness. "Mind you, it's not a secret, if that is your concern. Said it simply does not come up often. Seemed like that might interest you."

"I can't imagine why," Tai lies flatly.

Thancred's chair creaks as the man leans forward and folds his arms on the table. Tai feels a knot of dread tighten in his belly. "While others might not notice," Thancred begins, "I couldn't help but observe that although you hold your book as though to read, your gaze is slightly raised. You haven't turned a page in five minutes. And, of course, there is a certain pathetic face you make whenever you stare at him for too long."

Tai tries to keep a straight face, but cannot help agitatedly flicking one ear. Yes, perhaps he had been distracted for a moment by the pale curve of Urianger's back where his robes cut enticingly low, and yes, he had noticed the fine gold chains that ran between Urianger's collar and pauldron to rest against his skin, and perhaps had imagined twisting them around his fingers and giving them a little tug—

He clears his throat and looks pointedly back down at his book. "I see nothing wrong with privately admiring a comrade's appearance," he replies primly.

Thancred chuckles quietly. "I would be the last to disagree, but I'm not sure if you're trying to convince me or yourself."

Saw a glamour timeline shared, found it too low-res for my tastes, lost my mind, made a custom one yesterday while also hunting down old screenshots and recreating at least one glamour from memory. Don't be like me, kids. #FFXIV (I'm not making an Evercold one until it gets here you can't make me)

Apparently, I am done writing.

I didn't get around to any of the year-end art things, and I feel like I didn't draw that much last year/my hand forgot how to function with light lines appropriate for sketching, but here's what warmups and unfinished sketches I could scrounge up #KerfuffleArt

Surely now that I have both a modest fountain pen and a significantly nicer fountain pen, I will be satisfied, yes? ...no, I want a flex or italic nib one next for drawing actually

Hey, Microsoft? Did you forget you're selling stylus tips? You know, the 3/4" pieces of plastic at the end? That sometimes have a tiny rubber nib at their most advanced? Inherently cheap & disposable? Because otherwise you'd be INTENTIONALLY selling them for $10/each & that would be fucking insane
