When metamaterials are used to upgrade a Quarian's environment suit, their ability to change colour, or opacity, lets adventurous partners get creative, especially if they enjoy showing off. Haven't named these two yet, but I'm starting to build a roster of characters without meaning to haha.

After a whole lot of tinkering, drawing, redrawing, and erasing repeatedly, I've got something I'm really happy with. I think his body markings have the order, precision and militarism of the Turian culture, while still managing to be artistic, and actually portray something!

I've gotten back into Blender again, and have continued my experiments with textures and learning to customize the models. My next goal is figuring out facial markings. For this piece I wanted to do something brighter and more airy than my other pieces, and I think it turned out really well!

I've been experimenting with my painting, so it's been a bit since I posted one of my models. That said, I'm happy to share one now, and I think the changes paid off! I also did more with their expressions in Blender beforehand, which I think gave it more life which I'm rather proud of.

I know your pain, I'm pretty much constantly hunting for models and finding them can be a struggle. In this case though I can help! If you sub to the creators Patreon www.patreon.com/bluelightsfm/ and then search for Archive, you can find their model archives which I believe includes the Krogan.

This was my first test piece of the Grunt model by @wrex3d.bsky.social. I'd been looking for a model of him for a while, so finding Wrex3D's was a delight! I've got quite a bit more of him and the other Krogan to come. I upgraded my light for painting, which will also help photos come out better.

I posted a version of this last year, but wound up taking it down as I wanted to work on it more. After increasing the precision of the print, and adjusting my painting process, I'm much happier with how he came out. Awesome model by @bee-pyromancer.bsky.social and I think they're open for comms!
