Are the rocks individually interesting or is it that there are multiple in a single bag? I keep 3 small stones at my desk: smooth black from Pacific Cali, flat worry rock, and a polished one that has some striation.

What an amazing and thoughtful quilt! Blending the neckties and a 9 patch of the fabric used in alternating blocks in the border! Beautiful centerpiece and the yellow frame really pop too!

I have tried foundation paper piecing. Glad to have learned something new but it's not my thing. Here it is, mistakes and all. #FPP #Lillyella #MxDomestic

Hear hear! If you want wizards, witches, magic and fantasy by a British author, pick up a Terry Pratchett book~ (he was also a huge ally)

I opted to go back to traditional #LoneStar. I've embraced to cut into my collectable fabric, Alexander Henry's "All I want for Christmas" and "Santa's Helpers". It means I can make a second sibling quilt to go with it. I bought some gold/silver snowflake on black for background. #QuiltSky
Lone star (diamond pieces in diamond shape) blocks against a design wall of winter holiday theme. Three of the eight diamond blocks are holiday themed Alexander Henry fabric with hunky men.

My current #WIP for a winter holiday quilt top. Need to figure how to tilt the #LoneStar pattern so it's more compass than traditional 2 points on each side/edge. #QuiltSky, any tips for that geometry math? Modifying pattern from #MxDomestic
Four diamond shapes consisting of diamond shapes with various Christmas-themed fabrics. They are in diagonal Northwest-Southeast and Southwest-Northeast positions. A lone star quilt of Halloween fabrics. It is an 8 point star on black background consisting of diamonds in burst pattern.Lone star style (diamond shapes in diamond shape, converging to center) quilt blocks against design wall. Fabrics are winter or holiday Christmas themed.

As the young people nearby us at the Necropolis memed about the clouds: "this is the eclipse we have at home" 😄 We had a few breaks in clouds to see it, but was a nice shared picnic experience. My fourth eclipse!

Finally got this finished. Still learning this pattern and made notes for next time. I will decide on fasteners later, perhaps snaps or toggles. Or #Pokémon buttons if I want to splurge with my fun budget. #SewSky
A collared button up shirt without buttons or button holes ona hanger. The fabric on the left is various Pokémon on beige beach, the right side is various Pokémon floating in blue water. The collar is plain blue of similar color tone to the water. The back peaking from open collar and bottom are simple dahlia-like blooms of brown, red yellow and blue on beige. The front pocket is on the blue water side and is of the beach fabric, fussy cut to show pikachu and jigglypuff on beach chairs while a pikachu nearby chases a beach ball.

Life is short, cut the good fabric. I'm making a button up shirt with the Robert Kaufman Sunny Days quilting cotton fabric I bought last year. Trying to get it done before GoFest on Saturday. #QuiltSky #SewSky
Pokémon beach-themed fabric arranged on a design wall as the individual yet-to-be-constructed pieces of a button up shirt. The right side fabric is blue ocean with various Pokémon floating in rafts or tubes. The left side is sandy beach with Pokémon laying or playing together.

Saw this while taking a PokémonGo walk. Hawk (red-tailed?) and a (fearless) mockingbird. #birds #birdsky
A hawk perched atop a flagpole that has a flag of the USA waving in a breeze. There is a mockingbird near and behind the hawk menacing in flight.

Now that the portrait has been given, here is my cousin's dog. Learned from Art East Quilting class. Also a photo of the dog/model for this art.

Binding is brown with light green polka dots.A photo of a tan/light brown dog on a fuzzy dark dog bed/bean bag chair. Her ears are fold sideways and back. #RepostYourArt day 30, Whimsical. I've made a hat each month to bring some themed whimsy into my wardrobe. Pattern is Wyeth from Elsewhen Millnery. It does not use a lot of fabric, so it's good for scraps. Occasionally I become one of those "hat is my personality" people. #SewSky

#RepostYourArt day 29, Plant. I went with green thread for the quilting, still haven't bound it so no extra picture here. Will give this to a friend in September for their birthday. The floral fabrics were given by my guild/club from a member that passed.

#RepostYourArt day 28, Cottage. Bit of a stretch, but here's some adult bibs I made for people in my mom's retirement home. The brown bib has accent colors to use a remnant piece. The Thomas Kinkade needed (scrappy) binding as it was originally sewn and snipped wrong sides together. #SewSky

#RepostYourArt day 27, garden. Another baby quilt, this one unfinished but on standby for when someone wants one. Used remnants from the previous one for the corner squares. I just like playing with the pinwheel fabric, I'ma sucker for fun print to showcase. Done Dec 24. #QuiltSky
A photo of a quilt top on a design wall. The quilt top is a pinwheel of light green and lighter green with garden print of red skinny tree and pond and bird bath. The corners are gnome print on green with little mushroom houses and the square is accented in triangle by yellow with green swirls. The border is a varied green similar to a crowded waterlily pads.

The very simple quilting I did on a domestic machine. I loved this flannel backing of animals in a forest on navy, got it from FlannelLand on Etsy. Every single fabric I picked in this quilt served the forest whimsy theme with my friend in mind.
A closer photo of the quilt from the original post that on this one is replied. A corner of the quilt is folded back to show woodland animal families: bears, deer, foxes, skunks, and rabbits among a forest on navy background. They are whimsical drawn but not cartoonishly goofy. The quilting is lines to make an inner triangle on the pinwheel. The quilt is bound with of green with golden bits grunted on.

#RepostYourArt day 26, Mushroom. This is my go-to for baby quilts, a free pattern from JustGetItDoneQuilts. This one has forest whimsy with gnomes and their mushroom homes, fae and animals among flora. #QuiltSky
Photo of a quilt, with a large pinwheel center, square corners and green border. The center pinwheel is of solid yellow and a print fabric of gnomes, trees and mushroom houses against green. The fabric of the squares in the corners are of whimsy cartoon flora with fairies, hedgehogs, and ducks. The border is green curly swirls.

#RepostYourArt day 25, abstract. Is this abstract? Regardless I will make another storm at sea quilt as they are fun to make. I even got the special ruler after this. I love how colors give a good eye movement. Fingers crossed this gets accepted in a show.🤞 #QuiltSky
A photo of a quilt with pattern of big and small squares, diamonds, and right triangles to form a rectangle for the diamonds, and bigger squares on the squares. The collective image in the quilt is a geometric image of a bee at two purple flowers against a background of various greens, forming diagonal waves. There is a small cream-colored border to frame the image and a further border of olive green with dark color stripes that alternate after passing under the image. Upon zoom in it is quilted with flying insects somewhat resembling bees. The quilt is bound with green blue multi colored stripes.

#RepostYourArt day 24, Slow. This pixel style Mandalorian helm was probably the longest I spent plotting, counting, and sewing (and seam ripping) a quilt top. The backing fabrics are also Mando-themed from JoAnn. I shall probably give to a friend. Done mid 2024. #QuiltSky #Mandalorian #StarWars
A photo of a quilt that has the pixel image of a Mandalorian helmet of greys and black against a white background. The backside of the quilt, vertically from afar which is black print fabric with wider white print fabric on left & right of it. A closer photo of the backing fabric. The white print fabric has festive cartoonish images of Mandalorian (Din) and Grogu (baby Yoda) and wreath-like greenery, and the phrase "Joy to the Galaxy" in print and script.
The black Mandalorian fabric is the silver or grey helm on black background and the phrase "This is the Way" along the top and bottom of the image of this helm.

#RepostYourArt day 20, Critter. This reposted pixel #eevee from June 2025, is just further excuse to merge my hobbies of sewing and Pokémon. The first big quilt I made using quilt as you go method, used print fabric of each of the gen 1 starters. #QuiltSky #Pokemon
An image of 6 photos against black background with white text "Gen 1 Starter Pokémon Quilt, completed 1/9/2021" The smaller 5 photos form an L shape around the largest; they are photos of print fabric of bulbasaur, charmander, various Pokémon on ice cream cones, squirtle, and pikachu amongst flowers. The largest photo is a quilt in four section, each displaying the print fabric in pinwheel with squares in corners, with purple sashing between each section.
