This publication from Nick of Medieval Wargamer YouTube channel is a wonderful work of art. It could well move to the top of my next project list for Midgard. #Midgardheroicbattles

I’ll have a look. Midgard is my game. I’ll need around 50-60 infantry so this could be a cheaper alternative. 👍

This is indeed very helpful. Thank you. I did consider the Gripping beast ones but uncertainty on future supply put me off them a bit. I need to revisit Artizan I think.

I’ve taken the plunge with these Black Guard figures from Reconquer Designs. My first time with resin figures. Metal is normally my go to. Any feedback or suggestions or things to look out for would be appreciated. Any paint jobs pics also welcome. #Midgardheroicbattles

Following requests for Samurai for Midgard Heroic Battles, we’ve put together something for the Sengoku period in collaboration with Peter’s Paperboys. #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard #nerdlings #peterspaperboys

Great priming weather for my projects over the next few months. 1st up, these rather good, crisp Ragnarok Miniatures “Sons of Odin” javelin men nicely armed with two spears. I’ll get ready for “The Forgotten Battle - Fulford 1066” to be fought at Steel Lard, Sheffield UK - 14th November.

More play testing of “Never greater slaughter” - Brunanburh AD937, coming to Ebor Lard this Saturday. I “turned” the landscape through 45 degrees or so to create a slight diagonal in order to allow the chance of the Alliance reaching the Brimstage Brook as a cohesive line.

Cascadia with my daughter and son in law. 5 hexagon landscapes, 5 different animals. Such a simple formula that can deliver the friction required for such a compelling game. Recommended.

Looks like you were among the common people. Did Captain Kirk make an appearance?

I don’t know. I’d have to move fast. They took around an hour to load and once fired would have to move away fast in order to avoid counter battery fire.

If I read that one I would dream that I could fire my Nebelwerfer every turn at a target only a few yards away.

Bowel Cancer Screening. Had my results letter from the bum doctor this morning. All clear for another two years. Worth doing the test. It can save your life - at least for a while longer.

A versatile set of neoprene rivers from Patriot Games Sheffield that I acquired at Britcon. The smart money on Brunanburh being fought on a site on the Wirral means I need some streams not least something representing the Clatterbrook. “Never Greater Slaughter “ - coming to Ebor Lard in 3 weeks.

All quiet on Matthew’s Hill on the eve of battle. This is my interpretation of the view looking up the Studley Pike road from the Stone House. The model of the house was produced by that very clever man Paul Edwards of Sabotag3d. “Lincoln’s life or a Tiger’s death!” - tomorrow at the Lard Workshop.
