Only seven Type 41 Bugatti Royales were built. Three were ordered, and Bugatti kept four. Image shows a very large stylish 1930's automobile facing left (East-West), open top, green in color, with a man, Jean Bugatti, standing next to it.

Including the prototype, seven Type 41 Bugatti Royales were built. Three were ordered, and Ettore Bugatti decided to retain three.

In 1932, French textile manufacturer Armond Esders purchased the first Royale, a 2 seat roadster designed by Bugatti's son Jean. Esders insisted the car not have running lights, as he had no intention of driving it at night.

Bugatti Royale chassis had a 14' wheelbase and were fitted with a 12.7 litre engine. It was easily capable of cruising at 120 MPH.

At least 80 of the 12.7 litre Royale motors were built, ultimately being utilized for high speed rail engines.

Despite this one-sheet of The Undertaker And His Pals being a "bloody" mess it's my favorite movie poster because of the sell line. Although filmed in "Blood Curdling Color", they went with the cheaper 2 color red and black duotone printing, 27" x 40". #Halloween #Horror #film #movieposter #blood
Despite this one-sheet of The Undertaker And His Pals being a "bloody" mess, it's my favorite movie poster because of the outrageous participles in the sell line.

Marginally designed combination of photography, art, and mechanical art, containing 2 motorcycle riders in the upper left; with a larger skull and shoulders composed as a drop shadow to a head and shoulders directly to the right.

They appear to be produced with pen and ink or more likely scratch-board, and give a visual impression of wood cuts and reverse out of a solid black field that drips like blood at the bottom edge.

This is where the mechanical separation came in the form of an overlay with amber or rubylith to separate everything red from the black.

Below this, there is a black and white photo of two women sitting on a long rectangular bar drawn like a coffin and made in the same inked style of the artwork above. The title of the movie is written on the side of the coffin, and in a separate space below that, the movie sell line is included:

A Macabre Story of two Motorcycle Riding, Knife Wielding, Axe Swinging, Scalpel-Flashing, Acid Throwing, Gun-Shooting, Chain-Lashing, Arm-Twisting, Bone-Breaking, Neck-Wringing, Shiv-Shoving, Eye-Gouging, Pathological Nuts and Their Pal The Undertaker.

Although filmed in "Blood Curdling Color", they went with the cheaper 2 color red and black duotone printing, 27" x 40".

"Cloudburst" 1920

Diminutive people in the rain with umbrellas running to the shelter of a giant human skull.

Kley began his career with the reputation as an industry artist painting manufacturing scenes in oil and watercolor. His understanding of the working elements of modern machinery was an aid in this early work.

However, Kley attained far greater notoriety with his humorous pen & ink illustrations. A collection of Kley's two published sketchbooks were banned under the Nazi regime.

Herb Solow: I changed Spock from a red-skinned sinister alien with a pointed tail to a green-blooded Vulcan. Named characters, infused the series with a purpose. Created Starfleet, the captain’s log to set up each episode. Gene had a great idea but not salable until we developed the pilot. #StarTrek
