I spent it with close friends who accompanied me to see AVENGERS ENDGAME ENCORE , then we all went back to the home Bernie & I share, where she had a shrimp scampi dinner & chocolate granache cake waiting for us, along with gifts & birthday wishes. I really have a good life.

I haven't been doing much drawing lately because I've been dealing with real life thanks to a young driver slamming into my SUV on my right side from the rear. My car has been declared a total loss and am now scrambling to replace it. Fortunately, no one in either car was hurt.

I've had this design in my head since Comic-Con. I plan on inking a section of this piece so I can experiment with color paints, inks & dyes, seeing what works best on the cover stock so I can finally wrap up work on another commission piece. FYI, I don't do commissions paying less than $500.

1/ I bought this issue when it first hit the newsstands. It features Elliot S! Maggin's 1st DC story he sold on spec. Denny O'Neil, who co-created John Stewart with artist Neal Adams, was my editor when I penciled CAPTAIN ATOM issue 41 during the XMas holidays of 1989-90.

RIP Will Murray. Will & I reconnected after not seeing each other for almost 40 years. I bought a couple of his books during the con we met up at and now I’m sorry I won’t get to enjoy the new works he was planning. His DOC SAVAGE novels are a cherished part of my collection.

I’ve noticed an interesting pattern emerging since Comic-Con. I’m receiving more international orders through Ebay for the Mobian Adventure Series and I think I know why. eBay can track every order up to delivery. Shipping would cost way too much if I offered it.

LAST DAY: Leo 2273D4. The convention hall has opened. Lady Death was on hand to greet exhibitors as we entered Hall D. The experience has been a complete whirlwind and far more successful than anticipated. This convention has cemented Lara-Su’s place with the fans.

I saw SUPERGIRL in 3D yesterday. Forget the haters. I enjoyed the film, especially the fact that it presented her comic book origin faithfully in flashbacks utilizing Curt Swan’s Krypton costume designs and architecture. Millie was terrific as Supergirl. Looking forward to more.
