two observation, just to put some sprinkles on top: • if a migration takes weeks, there's not enough time for the backlog to grow so big to add more weeks at the end • having a hard rollout deadline is a great forcing function to make things happen

the cat is out of the bag: we have rebuilt from the ground up Shop in SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose. it still feels weird to think that it actually worked out lol. needless to say, it was a crazy few months. Can you believe it? full rewrite, and now it's already out in prod 🤯

I've hit that bug around 10:30am, and by... somewhen between 2 and 3pm, the fix rolled out in prod - after some backenders and colleagues from the area owning team were looped into the whole situation and reviewed&approved my River PR.

that then River went ahead and took care of until the PR was ready to go and CI was green. It did loop on that PR basically unsupervised, while I was digging deeper with a secondary River instance into the details and impact of the bug across prod, looking through data.

used a fourth agent in Slack to dig into that (River, you might have heard about it from Tobi here x.com/tobi/status... ) and via it I made a PR to fix this backend issue (in an area of code I've never touched before) and then a different CI reviewer agent flagged something

i use LLMs via CLI at work (pi for the win) so despite being aware of such a thing, i was pleasantly surprised when i told Opus 5 in the claude dsk app about a mobile specific bug for the website i cooked a while ago it just went "well i have the iOS sim, might as well" 👏

quick update from two "5hrs limits" later: Fable seems to have the exact same issue as every other model - once it funnel itself into an idea, it doesn't get out of it no matter what I said. I literally told it to throw away all the code and restart again, and yet he stuck to it
