I have one of these doves hanging around my feeder in central NY, are they common where you took this photo? I've never seen one where I live.

so I've had this bird showing up at the feeder for the past two weeks. All About Birds tells me it's an African Collared Dove, an escaped pet. I've posted the pic on the local lost pets although this fella doesn't seem like a domesticated bird. #birds

indeed, I brought home a kitten and the good boy in my profile picture taught him how to be a dog. When I had to let the good boy go over the bridge my cat slept on his bed for a few days. He follows me around like a dog and comes when I call him, Clayton is the best boy.
