The elderly man who owns this home was no longer able to care for the yard. He was overwhelmed by it and does not have $ to get it done. This morning 4 young policemen from our local precinct and 3 neighbors got it done for him. Thank you MPD! #kindness #loveyourneighbor Here is before and after!

So hot! 13 of the last 15 days have had a high temp of 99 -104 degrees. We have 7 more days of this before it cools to 92. This is abnormal here in the mid south in September. Trying to focus on the pollinators. Here is an American Bumblebee. I haven’t seen these in decades! #bees #nature #insects

I have a kind friend who recently lost her 94 year old mother. My friend brought me several varieties of her mother’s beloved day lilies. They have all bloomed and are beautiful. I love this aspect of plants - that you can share them in remembrance of someone!

Eight photos of day lilies in shades of yellow, peach, pink and red.

“From a distance, the world looks blue and green And the snow-capped mountains white From a distance, the ocean meets the stream And the eagle takes to flight From a distance, there is harmony And it echoes through the land It's the voice of hope It's the voice of peace It's the voice of every man”

Fine: "I'm talking to my colleagues about whether we want these fake Somali refugees - who come to our country, add no value, suck our resources, defraud our govt - whether we actually want them here. I don't think Ilhan Omar shouldn't be a member of Congress - I think she shouldn't be an American"

I teach at an urban university in a blue city in a red state. State law requires DEI policies/offices to be dismantled. Today there was a small peaceful protest by faculty, staff and students. They chanted “We will always be diverse.” I love my diverse students!
