Getting really into Dressmaker. I'm loving that more indie games are coming out like this that are very process oriented, but not challenge based. I think about it in opposition to gen ai in a way. You have to cut out each individual piece, sew ever individual seam. The process is the point

Told my husband my heart rate jumped to 105 just standing up and he was like "bro WHAT??". Apparently that's not normal and it would have been helpful to know that at some point in the past 30 years lmao. Why is it not normal to take 5 min to test that at any doc visit my entire life

I swear this is a real story, Kora is so funny now, she yells up to me "MOM, I FIGURED IT OUT, IT'S AN AI PUZZLE", about a gift we got of a dinosaur puzzle with completely inaccurate dinosaurs. She immediately noticed it was wrong earlier this year bc the herbivores had sharp teeth.

High detailed render seems to be meant for rare cut scene close ups that would feel more like a discovery when you rarely get that close. Otherwise a lot of that detail doesnt show in normal gameplay, and doesn’t feel as wildly busy at all times as for example the new Mario kart feels with clutter.

I’m actually wildly into the design. OoT was always a dark and uncanny type of vibe, and I think it fits well with this more twilight princess style. Young link looks appropriately elf-ish and both round and pointy. reminds me of the guide book illustrations

Always excited for anything Zelda! personally, I find the style in line with how varied Zelda game art style has been from game to game. I also find its hard to get the vibe until playing the games themselves. They put so much in the overall picture rather than individual components.

Maybe a good description would be high detail. It is stylized, but heavily detailed with the textures of everything. newer Nintendo games like the yoshi series seem to be leaning into that high texture, and I loved it there. It’s deffs a diff feel from n64 to get used to! but it’s grown on me a lot

I assume it’s a similar reflex to when you see the casting for your favorite book or a new cover. The old lo fi graphics leave you with a lot to interpret, so everyone has a different image in their head of what the blanks look like

I would suggest to anyone doing live action to just make longer clips (which sucks as a restriction). Even the best gen ai tech can't keep consistent more than a few seconds of dynamic movement

Tried to figure it out myself! I agree I really don't think it is because for example, the freckles are super consistent on people as they turn. But oof I think the big issue is the big AI ads are now in this short clip main person facing forward style.

It's a bit wild to me how so many things in my life I saw as my personality, but were just some undiagnosed (in some cases still undiagnosed) situation. I just thought I didn't like sports or physical activity. Like, that was in the top 5 of my innate traits.
