Lawmakers’ concerns about China manipulating content purportedly motivated (in part) the law requiring TikTok’s sale to US owners. But Trump-allied investors, a US gov’t–appointed board seat, and US gov’t oversight of the algorithm rebuild raise concerns about far-right influence over the new app.

University leaders need to understand: they are holding INCREDIBLY good cards. It is so rare in today's polarized era to have the support of 70+ percent of the public against the Trump admiministration on anything. Universities have that—AND winning legal arguments.
