Over a busy D23 weekend, I finally checked out the renovated and refreshed Napa Rose at the Grand Californian. Drinks were stellar but alas I didn't get to try the cuisine this go around. The place operates a bit differently now and dining room options are separate from the lounge. #naparose #gch

Highly unnecessary halftime show in a fucking World Cup. Part of the beauty of the game is more playing time, less breaks. #fifa

Struggling with the results US v Turkey game, which is basically ego v practicality. So here's a frozen Navy Grog at Broken Compass in Burbank. #tiki #brokencompass #brokencompasstiki #tikibar #burbank

A week ago, Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar celebrated 15 years. I couldn't place an honest estimate as to how much time and money I've spent there, but I'd like to think the improved projections and lighting was funded in part by yours truly. #tradersams #tradersamsenchantedtikibar #disneylandhotel

Done and done! Crazy busy on my final day with the Grog Log as The Donn of Tiki is having an after party here from their nearby screening in NoHo, but only 2 drinks to worry about: Tortuga and Boo Loo in a pineapple. Mai Tai is a freebie since we've all had one. #tiki #tongahut #tikibar #groglog

Von Tiki was rough from the Stroh 80, but balanced with the Barenjager, yet once is enough. Navy Grog and Rum Lift to follow - my lightest Grog Log run yet, as I'm currently at Trader Vics San Jose Airport. #rum #tiki #tikibar #cocktails #groglog #tongahut

Not everything is about booze - he's a surprise I found ironically on Easter Sunday. Not sure what kinda bird but this nest is on the ground behind a palm tree. About six of these spotted eggs.

Enjoyed another great outing at The Lucky Tiki with Cristian as the helm. Didn't venture too far from my favorites with a Rum Barrel, Captain's Inner Circle, and To Be or Nut to Be. Sounds like there's some great plans in store for this place. #tiki #tikibar #westhollywood #theluckytiki

As far as home bars go, Lost Temple of the Forbidden Mai Tai is pretty special. There's room for 50+ throughout the entire space, which includes a small game room and booth seating. #tiki #tikibar #rum
