While I'm p casual as far as "gamers" go, I will say that DDR Extreme 1+2 were huge gateway drugs for me: to anime, to J-pop and electronic music, to rhythm games, and to that bright, colorful aesthetic that I incorporate into my artwork. These games are so dear to me, and I still love playing them.

Oh and that drawing on the right wasn't made in MS Paint, it was actually made with the Disney Magic Art Studio CD-Rom. 😋 I used that art program quite a lot in my early days when I wanted something with a little more variety and oomph compared to MS Paint (the latter was VERY basic in 2007).

Reference sheet for the artist's design of a post-canon Jax, originally from The Amazing Digital Circus. This version of Jax, named Jaz, is wearing a matching pink vest and trouser set, with a striped black turtleneck underneath.
