Tomorrow, Sunday July 6th, I'll be joining the Comix & Stories gathering of local creators- authors, illustrators, weavers of worlds. If you're in the Vancouver area, come on in and check it out! @vancomicon.bsky.social #grimdark #darkfantasy #booksky 💙📚🪐 #vancouver #author #storyteller

To think, it was only about 7 months ago that my editor said "you should write a book", and now here it is on bookstore shelves. The bookstore is Cross & Crows in Vancouver. First I approached, first to accept, first to shelf. #grimdark #darkfantasy #booksky 💙📚🪐

First print run of paperbacks in hand. Shipping these is murder. Friggin' Canada Post... Makes it hard to empathize with their impending strike. #booksky 📚🪐💙 #grimdark #darkfantasy

Still in need of some reviews out there for my book. Anyone active on goodreads or blogs, etc-- want a copy? Free ePub, or trade paperback for shipping only. Email me- zombosis with an at and a gmail and a dot and a com. #booksky 📚🪐💙 #grimdark #darkfantasy

My first ever review, from the Indigo website. Plus, I don't actually know who wrote it, so that's a plus! #booksky 📚🪐💙 #grimdark #darkfantasy

I guess I can officially refer to myself as an author now. Proof copy turned out pretty much spot on. #booksky 📚🪐💙 #grimdark #darkfantasy

Throwback to that time I was in US Magazine, so I had it framed, but then all my clients seemed to think I was obsessed with the Depp/Heard divorce. Womp womp.

Design used for my band, The Blade Itself -Yes, named after Abercrombies book. I'm no bandwagon-hopper when it comes to my love of #grimdark #metalsky

I think they should just be honest and re-name it "Goodreads/Badreviews". (Honestly kinda looking forward to the scathing roasts by armchair critics coming my way. Rite of passage, I guess?) #booksky 📚🪐💙

Day one sales of seven copies! I know who at least two of those went to, but still... Woot! And thats just via Kobo, once it clears through Kindle and D2D, who knows how luxurious my newfound rich-dude lifestyle will get? #booksky 📚🪐💙

The final manuscript is currently being formatted for ePub and MOBI. Hope I can get the physical print run done soon. I'm so eager to release this novel, to feed those who love dark and brutal fantasy. 📚🪐💙

The publication of my first novel, Bones Before Fortune, inches closer and closer. Its followup, Seven Crowns of Rust, marches steadily forward. I just want to make Abercrombie, Butcher, Buehlman, Erikson, and King proud. I owe them all so much. 📚🪐💙

My editor is taking an unholy amount of time getting through my first book, but I think he might actually have the finish line in sight. Then its off to a formatter and I can finally publish it, albeit in digital format only- for now. Hard copy as soon as I can afford it.

I was never really very happy with this when I first did it, but I posted it because I wanted movement on my facebook and deviantart (thats how long ago I did this). Someone lifted it from my deviantart and posted it to pinterest, where it went like wildfire. Mine is the OG though. #tattoo #owl
