Well, the MRI results are in. The doctor wrote this summary: "MRI showed degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis and disc bulging. Nothing surgical. Can consider referral to pain management for injections." Those frequent recurring injections just aren't going to happen. Time to suck it up.

Yesterday we got this season’s versions of the senior Flu and COVID immunizations. Not too bad but we are feeling tired and sore this morning. Fortunately, a long hot shower awaited and helped get me started today. We will be better prepared for the crowds on our next few cruises / travels.

Today is more medical appointments - this one is an MRI of my lower back vertebrae to see if they are getting worse. Cant wear any jewelry for this test to include no wedding ring. That hasn’t been off since the late ‘70s and I had a real struggle removing it.

Good start to this subject. I have never been physically turned away as a single male. But I have refused to go to a few good places because of the monetary “penalty” of being a single male. It often was cheaper to attend as a couple or a single female than a single male. Looking forward to Part 2

I have worried over this post but must send it out. At risk of cold water on your warm days. Yesterday, a friend of mine who has been suffering from some serious health issues pulled out his pistol and fatally shot himself in front of his wife.

I’m about relaxed from our trip around Scotland. Now looking forward to our beach visit in about 10 days and then our November cruise of the Mediterranean and back home across the Atlantic. Always something to look forward to.
