Very pleased to say that I have just signed contracts to begin as Academic Enhancement Officer with #SRUC As well as living local to the Craibstone campus, I hope my developing foraging skills and my chicken-rearing knowledge can aid my educational development work here too. www.sruc.ac.uk

Very pleased to say that after having downloaded a new app and taken various photos of my driving licence and different sides of my head, I have managed to get my #LinkedIn account verified. Unfortunately, all the links I had built up since 2011 are lost, so if anyone was connected to me

Please note my LinkedIn account has been hacked by someone in Vietnam. It appears to have been entirely deleted but if anyone spots my details being used on LinkedIn in any way I would be very grateful if you could alert me. LinkedIn now says I have no relationship with them so I cannot report it

Is it just me, but am I the only one who feels a reviewer's comment that the take on the characters in Emerald Fennell's new 'Wuthering Heights' is characters is 'sufficiently “cold and unlikable” that engagement with their fates is made difficult.' accurately sums up how we feel about the

So sad to read this news. This has long been something that I have looked forward every summer, especially as it has become increasingly harder to get to France. Summers will not be the same without it: www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/j...

I sat across from Sylvester McCoy in a Hampstead cafe. I was once in the same underground carriage as Duncan Goodhew and on another occasion Tony Banks, MP. I once told Alan Clark, MP he had come to the wrong site to give a talk.

I passed Richard Griffiths standing outside a train at London Euston station, smoking a cigarette. Terry Christian proved to be in the carriage and I walked past him too.

I do not get to travel abroad these days, but if you happen to be in western Germany this summer, I can heartily recommend the Schwebebahn through Wuppertal. It is probably the most genuine steampunk vehicle you can travel on. I still remember my journeys on it. www.theguardian.com/travel/2025/...

An astronomy professor colleague of mine once relayed trying to explain to his students why it was important that they actually write their class reports themselves. “The point is not to teach ME about neutron stars,” he said.

On Monday our instagram account was hacked and then deleted. We received a ransom note to recover it; obviously we couldn't and wouldn't pay, and therefore lost thousands of followers. Meta support was useless. But we're BACK with a new account: @littletollerbooks. Can you follow us there and share?

Maybe a good focus for a social/political history research. While #Woking has ran into grave problems in the 21st Century as someone who grew up in the borough and still has friends and family living there, I know that it is a place which has faced incompetence www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

I imagine that with the curriculum becoming more crowded and after schools clubs becoming harder to run that this is the reason for the disappearance of debating in state schools. I attended state schools all through my childhood and not only was there a debating club in each but there were always
