#Philadelphia friends! PA has a kind of early voting. If you’re registered, just go to one of 11 election offices in Philly. If you have a mail-in ballot, you can turn it in directly to election officials. If you haven’t requested a ballot you can do that, then fill it out and turn it in. Done! ⬇️

#Pennsyvania friends, I just voted! The last day to register to vote is Monday, 10/19. If you’re already registered, check your status before that date, just in case. Both actions can be done at the link below! PS: checking your registration will also show the address of your polling place.

Another much-beloved R policy (school vouchers) is not just a bad idea in theory, it’s a scam in practice.

Food banks also face higher food and fuel costs. We should support them, local free fridges, etc. to the extent that we can BUT we need a govt that minimizes the need for those options. VOTE accordingly!!

What a brilliant idea and great praise for the idea. Letting everyone have access to the literature we should all read is extremely important. Currently re-reading 1984, and it's quite scary how close a lot of societies are moving to that as a model, and how many idiots would like it.

Every stitch tells a story of love, community, and remembrance. Volunteers across MN created the "Stolen Neighbors Quilt" with 11,000 squares to honor Minnesotans detained by ICE. Each fabric square represents a neighbor, a family member, and a life impacted by deportation. We stand for Justice!

For years, supporters of democracy have been frustrated that Democrats leaders continue ”politics as usual” and “strongly worded letters” instead of stepping up to stop a slow coup. This sentence from @propublica.org’s recent expose of Collins may shed some light.
A screenshot of the 13th installment of a long thread posted by ProPublica on 9/22/26. It says:

“By the end of 2024, FBI agents had enough evidence to pursue a sweeping bribery probe that could ensnare top lawmakers of both political parties. They asked their supervisors to approve a new investigation.

Then Trump returned to the White House.”

I have highlighted the words “both political parties”.

Not to mention forcibly entering homes w/o judicial warrant; violently plucking people up, throwing them into concentration camps, and deporting them to w/o due process; and being accused frequently by many watchdog groups of violating human rights in other ways.

Are we actually seeing signs that support from conventional media (and the corporations that run them) might be weakening? (Image from indivisible-ma.org/one-million-... )
A picture entitled “these are the pillars holding up the system”. The image is a building labeled “authoritarian regime”. The building is held up by pillars, each labeled with a type of institution, such as “labor”. One of the pillars is crumbling. Notes on the picture say “Every regime depends on the support of institutions” and “enough noncooperation will cause a pillar to be unreliable or completely defect”.
