Margaret Hamilton, trailblazer whose software powered Apollo 11 moon landing, dies at 90
MIT computer scientist led development of software for moon mission and earned Presidential Medal of Freedom Margaret Hamilton, the computer pioneer whose software powered the first moon landing, has died, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) announced on Wednesday. She was 90. In an era before titles such as software engineer and computer scientist became mainstream, Hamilton, who died on 30 September, learned to program under the tutelage of a renowned MIT meteorologist. Reduce it to its core. What are the fundamental components and mechanisms? Interest is the cost of holding money. It is pretty much the thing that "pressurizes the oil". But i am way out of my depth here. Read it rather as loud thinking than assertions.

I just recently recognized, the trust money is based on, is always paid in advance. Its the belief the debtor will pay back.

Keeper @keeper86.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
Currently? Interest. The "oil" in this picture is just bookkeeping. When I lend you money, we have basically have created more money. The iou and the loan. Thats where "oil" is created and destroyed.

Even when you just get the tax and burn the money, it most probably has a positive effect in the current state we are in. There wasnt a time where we could create more resources. Thats real wealth. Money is not the issue. Distribution is.

Keeper @keeper86.bsky.social · 07/10/2026
The best simplest analogy for money that helps me, its like oil for an engine and not fuel. The distribution of money is interesting, not its nominal value. Wealth tax creates a flow that werent there before. And as you correctly stated, money is more or less a closed loop. Therefore, pump.

Sure. Because there is only the US. The US is too dumb to do what works. Because you are fucking entitled losers. And then you elect a child molester and senile rapist. You are so done.

Life expectancy is a good proxy for success here. The US sucks badly. Compared to civilised contries brainwashed US citizens die on average 5 years earlier. Looking at other quality of life measures the US is compared to its possibilities a failed state.

Change is hard everywhere. And also dunces exist everywhere who defend what destroy them. US citizen earned hard whats coming for them. Lets hope they dont drag the world with them, honestly. Or ppl with brain start to act effectively. As of now, the US is still redeemable.

Cost of living is how much higher? Defend the system that fucks you. I dont mind. America had everything. They got bored. And now they do everything in their power to destroy the base. Like said, hilarious from a certain point of view. I hope we can defend against the US insanity long enough.

Heute vor drei Jahren verübte eine Terrororganisation das was Terrororganisationen machen: Terroranschlag vom 7. Oktober 2023. Etwa 780 Zivilisten, mindestens 36 Kinder und Dutzende Ausländer wurden getötet. Rund 250 Menschen wurden verschleppt.

Look at civilised countries. Easy as that. Its just astounding how hard those that get fucked defend the system thats fucks them. Richest country in the world, but healthcare is to expensive for half the population. From a certain point of view its hilarious.

And because i myself needed a refresher: ethnic group is a self-identified social group most of the time based on a mixture of language, culture (clothing, dishes, architecture...) and also religion. Its not testable and who belongs and who not is debateable.

Keeper @keeper86.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Scots arent entitled to an ethno state. Scots arent entitled to have a country that discriminates against non-ethnic scots. You just conflate things here. You know all of this. You dont care. I guess, you just like racism. Maybe thats something new you just find out about yourselves?
010
Keeper @keeper86.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
But Zionism explicitly says jews are an ethnic group, right? Its not a religious thing necessarily. As far as I know, most of the founders and many contemporary zionists are not religious jews.

Green party of England and Wales facing ostracism over ‘Zionism is racism’ vote
European Green party says motion goes against its policy, with German Green co-leader calling it ‘intolerable and unacceptable’ * Zack Polanski may rue lack of leadership when Greens needed him to act The English and Welsh Greens are facing international ostracism after adopting a policy declaring Zionism as a form of racism, which has drawn dismay from the group representing European Greens. The co-leader of the German Greens separately said the policy was “intolerable and unacceptable”, running contrary to its belief in the right of Israel to exist. Continue reading...

Do not get me wrong: These systems are just matrix multiplications. There is no cognition, no self. Its a machine that plays token sodoku. But it doesnt matter. This is clearly working and getting better by the hour. Denying its usefulness will and must lead to wrong conclusions.

Keeper @keeper86.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
I could have done so, too. Optimistically speaking, I would assume it would have taken me an hour to realize and find this. My point: There is no training material in the world that resembles this issue. And its intricate enough that purely guessing has a vanishing probability of success.

Between event creation and filtering these values may change in rare occasions due to an independent part of the system leading to an apparent failure of the filter. An LLM grepped the 100k LoC code base, found the important three parts, and stated the correct mechanism how this bug came to be.
100
Keeper @keeper86.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
For people still claiming LLMs _do not_ work nor cannot be possibly used productively: I had a bug. I have an event stream and build a filter on top of it to only show events of interest. One of the filter-modes depends on a live check at time of filtering.

Dont people see how ridiculous they sound? Tools have designated use cases. In order to use tools you need to know its limitations. Trying to cut wood with a hammer and failing does not mean that a hammer is a bad tool. It means you are a tool.
See linked post.
