Putin can’t refine or ship diesel anymore. He’s only doing this as a pretext to be allowed to import the sanctioned parts for the refineries that keep getting blown up by the Ukrainians

Trump’s deal with Putin is illegal. In 2022, the US Congresses passed the Ending Importation of Russian Oil Act, explicitly prohibiting the import of russian energy resources into the United States. Legally, Trump is not allowed to make a deal with Putin.
