This seems to be the logo of Amazonia Self Protection, the firm running the self-defence training at the trans-hostile event.
Logo of Amazonia Self protection. It's a gold circle on black with the name on it. Inside is a sinister cat in a bathtub. It's surrounded by Hebrew letters, perhaps spelling out it's name in Hebrew?

If BBC has banned flags, slogans and symbols (save "patriotic" British ones), it should have axed the segment. That would be omitting a thing that happened (she wore a trans-supportive tee to rehearsals) so not good. But digitally erasing the slogan is actually altering history, Uncle Joe style.
Famous image of Soviet Dictator Josef Stalin, a white-presenting man with a thick moustache wearing a military hat and long coat with his hand tucked into the coat. A shorter white man, similarly dressed, bending slightly forward is standing next to him.

In the second image, only Stalin is shown. The other man has been "airbrushed" from the image.

"This mindset is the least we deserve from a leader. Of course it has to be turned into action. But this kind of ambition and love for the country, this kind of personal but positive vision is what takes people with you. How feeble-minded Farage and Badenoch seem."

Followed by a link to an article in the Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/sep/29/andy-burnham-unplugged-labour-conference-sketch?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other).

It includes an image of Labour Prime Minister Andy Burnham, a white man with dark hair and glasses wearing a dark suit and white shirt with no tie, waving and standing in front of a red sign with white letters "HO" and "AG" behind him.

Also includes a snip from the article which reads, "Burnham was not going to die wondering. He knew he might be delivering one of the
longest suicide notes in history, but he did it anyway. Because he couldn't not do it. Better to go down remaining true to his principles
than being slowly airbrushed out of history like the previous six prime ministers. Failures all. Andy was prepared to burn through all his political capital right there in Liverpool, right then. Not just for his own legacy but for a country he wanted to rebuild. It was the only way he could look himself in the mirror. Honour his parents."

"My Lords, we know that the 18 to 25 year-olds have many of the same complex problems as the under-18s and, as the Minister has said, they need similar holistic wraparound care, although that is not necessarily yet in place. However, Dr Levy's review had a narrower remit than mine, focused on quality improvement rather than the model of care, so as a next step would the Minister agree to ask departmental and NHSE colleagues to convene a group, which should include independent experts, representatives of professional groups and representatives of the new children's and young people's services as well as service users, to consider how we best understand and, importantly, improve clinical outcomes for this group of young adults?"

The op repeatedly fails to acknowledge Tory and Labour Governments HAVE cited "legitimate concerns" to justify harm to trans people (also disabled folk.) Repeated "errors of omission" aren't just coincidences.🙄 And failing to show similar tactics used against other minorities weakens his argument.

There's v little data compared with 5 years ago. But what there is shows Flu is fairly flat in Scotland, and near normal for September. Covid is rising though - double what it was a couple weeks ago, about twice as many cases as flu. Few people test now. 😣 scotland.shinyapps.io/phs-respirat...
Graph showing the percentage of hospital flu tests that are positive from months 22 to 36 in 2026 in Scotland. At week 36, 2.4% of tests taken were positive. That is about normal for September in past years, when cases of flu begin to rise after summer, when schools are back and more people spend time indoors.

A higher rate of positive flu tests in hospital suggests a higher rate of flu in the general population.

A graph from Public Health Scotland showing the rates of Covid tests in hospital that turn out positive from months 22 to 38 of 2026.

It shows 4.2% of tests were positive in week 36, but it was higher in week 35 at 5.1% of tests. This compares with 2.4% of flu tests being positive in week 36 and about the same in week 35 (see other image.)

There is much less data collected about Covid incidence than 4-5 years ago. However, a rising rate of hospital Covid tests that are positive suggests a rising rate of Covid in the wider population.

Covid has never been "seasonal" (i.e. highest only in and near winter) as flu, RSV, norovirus, etc.)

Trans-hostile pressure group "Sex Matters" have been using the term "Sex Realist" to describe their ideology for at least 6 years already.
seXmatters website

31st May 2022

"Sex realists gaining ground at Westminster"

"Sex realists winning debates" (caption on top of an image of the parliament at Westminster at twilight."

Debates on new laws in Parliament are one of the key battlefields between sex realists and sex denialists, with one side seeking clarity on sex, and the other seeking to conflate and confuse sex and
gender identity. A long-term strategy of the sex-denial lobbyists has been to propose legislation seemingly on one popular topic but whose aim is to introduce concepts such as gender identity or
terms such as "pregnant person" onto the statute book and associated guidelines and policies.

Sex Matters, alongside other organisations, has been writing policy papers and submissions, and briefing MPs and peers. While these battles can be long and slow, we are all gaining some ground at
Westminster, although progress is harder in Holyrood and the Senedd.

THE CHURCH IN WALES

Statement of the Bench of Bishops of the Church in Wales on the publication of the EHRC Draft Code of Practice

The publication of the EHRC's Draft Code of Practice has caused fresh pain and anxiety to many trans people. We want to respond clearly.

A year ago, following the Supreme Court's ruling, we said that every human being is a precious child of God, deserving of dignity and respect. We say so again today - without qualification.

The Code tells organisations what the law permits. It does not tell us who we are as the Body of Christ. We are not called to the legal minimum of hospitality. We are called to the radical welcome of
the one who sought out the excluded and the overlooked.

The Church in Wales will not use equality law exemptions to exclude trans people from our worship, our sacraments, our pastoral care, or
our common life.We ask all our churches to be places of genuine sanctuary for trans people and their families, especially now. And we call on public bodies to pursue a way forward that upholds the dignity of
all, rather than treating the protection of some rights as justification for eroding others.

To trans people in Wales, in our congregations and who serve God faithfully in the Church: you are known. You are loved. You are welcome here, as you are, always. We affirm that every trans person
is a precious child of God, and a beloved part of the life of this Church.

This is too accurate to be funny. 😣
Quotation from Dr Mary Ann Stephenson, Chair of the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). She is referring to "research" that either does not exist, is being misrepresented, or is rooted in eugenics/white supremacy to claim that it is "easy" to determine whether a person is trans or cis.

"For example, there's academic reserch showing that where you recreate 3D models of people's faces, using photographs, taking out all the things like hair that might be an indicator, there is a 96 to 98 per cent accuracy in identifying sex. Just on a 3D model of a face, where your not adding in anything else - height, gait, build, voice, all of those other things."

Skeet from tuxedobowser.bsky.sovoal.

It's not discrimination. They can compete in the sex they were born as, or play in women's hous leagues if other players are ok with it. There are no arguments for trans women in women's sport. The argument boils down to "our feelings" and the "right" to play in women's sport that doesn't exist.

Where to start with this vile account?
Skeets from this account: Human with dignity @unitedmonsters.bsky.social

transphobia describes hating trans people, wanting to take their
rights, wanting them not to exist, wanting the state to forcibly stop
trans people from existing, with punishment and at an extreme
death.

It does not describe criticizing a trans person, or suggesting living as
a male entire life

may inform how they view the world, just as much as me growing up
white and female informs my world view and i would not claim i
know exactly how a black woman feels or sees the world.

That you see that as transphobic, means you do not know what
transphobia is or deliberately are abusing it ...

to avoid any criticism, and just unperson your critics by
screaming transphobic when faced with any criticism or
commentary.

It is literally not transphobic to identify white trans women were
socialized as white males, unless they transitioned VERY early in life.

this is a great example of you abusing the concept of transphobia to
mean "anyone i dont like, who criticizes me at all, or questions my
views, is a bigot i am justified in destroying and not listening to
them"

Posted with full Alt Text. Surely they could have slipped in one more point - Universal Human Rights: We call for a rethink of recent policies harmful to marginalised communities, especially disabled, trans, asylum-seeking and migrant people, and a commitment to amending legislation where required.
29 June 2026

Dear Andy Burnham MP,

We are writing to you in recognition of the increasingly likely event that you become the next Prime Minister.

As Green Party MPs, we were elected on a manifesto of real change. It could not be clearer that the public are desperate for politicians to deliver on this. Where our agendas overlap, and if there is prospect of delivering real change, we will work with this government in a
spirit of cooperation. Where the government fall short, we hold Ministers accountable.

People's lives are getting harder. Everyday life has become unaffordable and public services are under immense pressure. People no longer trust that politicians or politics will deliver for them, with growing unrest in our communities. We have watched a
genocide unfold in Gaza, and successive Prime Ministers have refused to take the necessary action. And last week we witnessed some of the impacts of the climate and nature crisis, with the second ever heat-related red alert weather warning in our country's history. These are just some of the many crises our country is facing.

While people's lives are becoming harder, those responsible for fuelling these crises are cashing in. In the first month after the US and Israel's initial strikes on Iran, the share value of just five North Sea oil and gas companies was boosted by £73 billion (Greenpeace,
2026).

What we need, what the public want, and what Keir Starmer failed to deliver, is a fundamental break with this failing status quo. Not tweaks, not backslides, but immediate action to end the complex and connected crises we are experiencing. But the public are tired of hearing about 'change' and not feeling it.

The Green Party is clear on what real change looks like. So, if you become the next Prime Minister, will you to take the following initial steps?

- Fix our electoral system: Introduce proportional representation for all national and local elections before the next General Election.

(continued in next image.)…Continued from page one:

- Tax wealth fairly: At the Autumn Budget, align rates of Capital Gains Tax with income tax; introduce National Insurance on investment income in line with employment income; and take necessary steps to introduce an annual tax on the wealth of multimillionaires and billionaires.
- Hold the line on new oil and gas and restore nature: Do not approve proposed drilling at Rosebank, Jackdaw or Cambo, or allow new oil and gas extraction through tiebacks to existing production facilities; and rapidly scale up action to reverse the loss of nature by 2030.

- Take water into public ownership: Starting with Thames Water, use powers the government already has to bring failing water companies into special administration and back into public hands, not just public control.
- Introduce rent controls: Roll out rent controls across the country, as you have called for as Mayor of Greater Manchester and as the new Green Party Mayors are now demanding, and fund councils to buy existing homes from private landlords.
- Uphold international law: Accept the findings of the UN Independent Commission of Inquiry that the Israeli government has committed genocide in Gaza, and impose comprehensive sanctions, including a full arms embargo.

This is of course not an exhaustive list of policies or actions needed to address the multiple crises our country is facing. But taking immediate steps to deliver on the above measures, which are hugely popular, would send a signal that you are serious about changing course. Our constituents, and the country, need more than just a new manager.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Ellie Chowns MP

Esther's final text to Brianna seemed odd to me. If she'd replied, "It's ok to come back if you want," or similar, her daughter might still be alive. I've wondered if her fixation on blaming phones was to avoid thinking she may have missed a chance to save her life. www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/b...
“She sent me a picture of her feet on the bus and said that she felt really anxious,” Esther says in the documentary. “I messaged back something like, ‘That’s well good,’ because she’d never been on a bus by herself.

SafeToNet's post on Facebook, 12 Aug 2025.6

"SafeToNet's mission has reached one of the most
influential rooms in the world.

Our founders, Richard Pursey and Sharon Pursey OBE,
were invited to Washington D.C. to demonstrate
#HarmBlock: our on-device #Al that prevents the
creation, viewing, and sharing of sexual imagery.

We can't say who they met. But we can say this ...
- Smartphones can be safeguarded
- A new relationship was born
- Our momentum is now transatlantic

What stood out wasn't just the hunger for real
solutions, it was the growing frustration with empty
promises. One tech CEO had just left the room offering
no credible plan to protect children. Another company
is now refused meetings altogether because "they
simply don't believe what they say anymore."

Hannah Al-Othman has more on the disorder near the Shankill Road that culminated in a house being stormed by masked men:

On a residential street draped in loyalist flags near Belfast's Shankhill road, the masked men approached a house with a boarded-up window and a security camera stationed outside.

As a woman from an ethnic minority background looked down from an upstairs window, some of the men rushed the front door and broke it down. With the air thick with smoke from fireworks, they attacked the downstairs windows with bricks.

As they stormed the property, some claimed to be "liberating" it. Graffiti nearby demanded "local homes for local people".
A woman in the crowd said to her friend: "There's wee girls inside".

Nearby, a car was set on fire. As the chaos unfolded, a man in a skull facemask told onlookers to put their phones away. Helicopters circled overhead, and two police officers looked on from their car
nearby as smoke billowed towards the sky -

It's not hyperbole. New EA2010 Statutory Code says those who think gay sex is a sin may not have negative attitudes to gay people and "gender criticals" may not have negative attitudes to trans people. It could be discrimination to stereotype them.😟 assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/6a0de6...
4.99

The focus must be on what the words used mean or necessarily imply, and evidence about the individual whose expression of belief is in issue, rather than any stereotype associated with the relevant belief that the individual holding or manifesting that belief may not possess.

4.100

Examples of stereotypes in relation to religion or belief are that persons who hold or manifest certain gender-critical beliefs necessarily have negative attitudes towards trans people, or that persons who hold or manifest the belief that same-sex sexual activity is sinful necessarily have negative attitudes towards gay people. The judgment explains that: 'it may be that some persons
who hold / manifest such beliefs have such animus, but it is stereotyping to assume that all do.

Example

4.101

In the example in paragraph 4.97, instead of the message in the post, the member at the community club shared the same petition but described community club funding measures (the example in 4.97 was "youth groups designed for gay people,") as "undermining traditional values and making it in practice forbidden to teach fundamental Christian beliefs related to the creation of men and women and marriage".

A member reported the post and complained that it was homophobic. In this case, if the club removed the post and banned the member, it is likely to be liable for direct discrimination if it acted based on the complaining member's stereotype that persons who hold Christian beliefs about marriage or sexual activity have negative attitudes towards gay persons, rather than an objective assessment of the words used.

...And dog attacks have risen steadily since DDA 1991, which shows how pointless the Act has been. www.bva.co.uk/media/4115/f... onlinecpdacademy.co.uk/blog/dog-bit...
Logos of British Veterinary Association and British Small Animal Veterinary Association at the top.

Policy Statement: BVA and BSAVA position on the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) and dog control.

Executive Summary

The Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) was introduced in the UK following a series of serious, and in some cases fatal, dog attacks on humans. Its stated aim is to:

"prohibit persons from having in their possession or custody dogs belonging to types bred for fighting [ ... ]to enable restrictions to be imposed in relation to other types of dog which present a serious
danger to the public; to make further provision for securing that dogs are kept under proper control; and for connected purposes."1

However, the breed-specific legislation contained within the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) does not represent an evidence-based approach to dog control and we consider that the Act more widely has been ineffective in delivering its stated aims.

A review five years after the implementation of the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) found no significant reduction in dog bites.2 In fact, a study published in 2021 found that adult hospital admission rates for
dog bites tripled in England between 1998-2018, and the incidence of dog bites in children had remained consistently high.3 The same study found that between the financial years 2009/2010 and
2017/2018 the total estimated direct costs of dog bite admissions to hospitals were £174,188,443.4 Further, ONS data shows that dog attack fatalities have in fact increased since the introduction of the
Act.5A Public Safety Problem That Has Nearly Doubled in 15
Years

Dog bite injuries in England have nearly doubled in a generation. In 2022/23, there were 9,336 hospital admissions for dog bites in England - up from 4,699 in 2007/08, a 98% increase in 15 years. The trend is driven not by children (as is commonly assumed) but by a tripling of incidence in adults. And the consequences are increasingly severe: 16 people were killed by dogs in 2023 - compared to just 2 in 2019, an 800% increase in fatal attacks over four years.

Key Facts & Figures (Overview)

- 9,336 hospital admissions for dog bites in England in 2022/23 - a 98% increase from 4,699 in 2007/08 (NHS Digital)
- An estimated 207,000 A&E attendances per year in England for dog bites (calculated from admission data)
- 16 fatalities from dog attacks in 2023 - up from just 2 in 2019, an 800% increase in four years
- 1 in 4 people are bitten by a dog during their lifetime
- 42 postal workers are attacked by dogs every week in the UK; an estimated 200 per year have a finger bitten off or severely injured
- NHS costs peaked at £25.1 million for hospital admissions and £45.7 million for A&E attendances in 2017/18- Dog ownership increased from 9 million in 2019/20 to 13.5 million in 2021/22 - a surge in ownership directly correlated with the rise in attacks.
- The incidence of dog bite admissions rose from 6.34 per 100,000 (1998) to 14.99 per 100,000 (2018) - more than doubling
- 70% of attacks occur in home environments - usually involving the family dog or a dog familiar to the victim
- 80% of attacks on children are by dogs known to the child - typically a family pet
- The highest incidence of dog bite injuries is in Merseyside, North West England (32.2 admissions per 100,000); the lowest is in Kent and Medway (7.3 per 100,000)
- Admission rates are 2.6 times higher in the most deprived neighbourhoods compared to the least deprived
- XL Bully ban introduced in England and Wales in February 2024 - owners required to have exemption certificates, with mandatory muzzling, neutering, and microchipping
- Scotland banned XL Bullies from July 2024

Who Is Most at Risk?

Contrary to common assumptions, the rise in dog bite hospital admissions is primarily driven by adults, not children. The Scientific Reports analysis of NHS Hospital Episode Statistics (1998-2018) found that the increase in dog bite admissions was caused by a tripling of incidence in adults, with all age groups over 15 years showing an Incidence Rate Ratio of 1.040-1.065 per year. Children aged 0-9 still have the highest admission rate per 100,000 within paediatric age groups, and children under 5 bitten on the head and neck represent the most clinically severe paediatric injuries. But the headline trend is adult attacks.

Yes. May have been before your time. I DO remember lurid descriptions of attacks in the tabloids, how an ineffective law was sped through so the Government could claim to be "doing something," and the 100s of healthy, well-behaved pets PTS after subjective assessments. www.bcu.ac.uk/news-events/...
The public revolt against the controversial Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 [DDA) has been solidly simmering through UK society since the inception of the act. The recent suggestion from PETA to add the Staffordshire Bull Terrier as the latest and fifth banned breed has brought this long standing contempt to boiling point. Often cited
as one of the most flawed pieces of UK legislation (House of Commons, 2018), the public are calling for more responsibility to be placed on dog owners/handlers and less prejudice to be placed on
specific breeds of dog.

Hood et al (2000) claimed that "it is a truth universally acknowledged that the UK's Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 is a cardinal example of poor, ill-thought-out regulation". One might ask how such a widely criticised law could be enacted in the UK. The DDA was drafted in the early 1990's in response to a supposed 'moral panic' that was reportedly sweeping the UK over a spate of dog attacks on
humans, particularly children. It is important to note here that the authors do not agree with this notion of a 'moral panic', but given the scope of this piece we suggest reading Horsley (2017) for a
nuanced and critical analysis of this concept.

The DDA was rushed through in a bid to limit dog attacks, earning it the name 'knee-jerk' legislation. The act aimed to limit dog attacks in two predominant ways: Section 3 places a responsibility on dog owners/handlers...However, the disagreement is in relation to the more draconian Section 1 of the act which restricts and prohibits, amongst other things, the ownership of certain breeds of dogs, namely: Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosas, Dogo Argentinas and Fila Brazilerios. At the time of drafting the legislation, these breeds were considered the most dangerous and likely to attack despite critics of the act pointing out the lack of any robust evidence absent from the literature surrounding the introduction of the act. It is Section 1 that is referred to as 'Breed Specific Legislation' (BSL).

Excellent thread in reply to this nonsense take on how and why successive UK Governments since 2019 (Tory and Labour) embraced trans-hostile policy, with increasing fervency. Trans human rights aren't being revoked because trans people overplayed their hand. They never even got to hold the cards.

Trans Lucent: truth, clarity, justice

We can confirm that an application to call for a debate to reverse the Supreme Court Judgment (FWS v SGM) has been made to the Government's Petitions Office.

The petition also calls for the Government to restore the full effect of the Equality Act 2010 and the Gender Recognition Act 2004 before the judgment was handed down, and to reject the recently published EHRC Draft Code of Practice.

We are currently awaiting approval from the Petitions Office. Should the petition be approved, we will share it widely.

Please be ready to encourage all those who stand with trans people to sign it to show MP's the level of support for trans rights.

It is very good - just click, then tick the box to get the non-paywalled article.
The whole website brouhaha is another great example of For Women Scotland and the gender critical movement using rhetorically loaded lingo with a sprinkling of statistics to cover what is fundamentally a whiny moral-panic argument. The real problem for women in Scottish politics is that, according to research by feminist group Engender, a record number of women MSPs chose not to stand for re-election this year. When asked why, two of the reasons for leaving were misogynistic abuse (including on social media) and threats to
safety. None of their recommendations for dealing with the reasons women leave politics had to do with defining womanhood.

Full quote from the article, with Alt Text.
The Greater Manchester Mayor was previously in favour of the right to self-declare gender, and questioned Government guidance that said women's lavatories should not be used by trans women, biological men who say they are female.

However, he has now said it is time to support a new code of practice from the equality watchdog, which states that single-sex toilets in businesses and public buildings must be used according to biological sex.

At the launch of his campaign for the Makerfield by-election, Mr Burnham said: "I think the time has come to take the Supreme Court ruling and the guidance and implement it, but to do it in a way that protects those spaces but does not marginalise already marginalised communities, that's my view."

With alt text. It's a cruel, contradictory mish mash of absurdity. It's a gift to bigoted busybodies and bullies. Clear as mud for actual service providers. Provider - Excuse me, are you trans? Customer - I'm not telling you. Provider - Uh, okay, sorry to bother you.
13.168 Where, regardless of such communications, there is clear evidence of an issue with members of the opposite sex accessing or seeking to access the single or separate-sex service or association in question, it may be legitimate to ask individuals to provide confirmation that they are of the eligible sex by proportionate
means. Evidence of such concern might include the individual's physique or physical appearance, behaviour or concerns raised by
other service users. However, service providers, those performing public functions and associations must keep in mind that it is
not always possible to be sure of a person's sex from their appearance. Whether it is legitimate to approach any particular
individual to make enquiries about their sex will be a sensitive question that will depend on all the circumstances.13.177 Requesting confirmation of sex in such circumstances may not have a harassing effect and, even though the approach may
place trans people at a particular disadvantage, it is likely to be justified. Read Chapter 8 for more detail on harassment.

13.178 Where an individual confirms, in response to such a request, that they are not of the sex for which the single or separate-sex
service or association in question is intended, they may be required to leave and thereafter be excluded from the service. This should
again be handled as sensitively as possible in the circumstances.13.179 Where there remains a genuine concern about the accuracy of the response to a request for an individual to confirm their
sex, then the service provider, person performing public functions or association should consider what action is proportionate in the circumstances. There is no type of official record or document in the UK which provides reliable evidence of sex. For example, sex on passports and driving licences may be changed with or without a
Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC), and birth certificates may reflect the acquired gender of someone who has a GRC.
Therefore, it is unlikely to be proportionate or practical to ask for further evidence of a person's sex. In such circumstances, it is
likely to be necessary to weigh up the relevant factors to decide whether to exclude the individual from the service or association
or to permit them to continue to access it.
