Because the national CETA initiative was decentralized and locally managed, tracing its presence and impact is a challenge. Few programs had the funding and prescience to include a Documentation Unit, but CFdid. Comprising three photographers, three writers, and an archivist, the group not only captured the community-based work taken up by CF artists, but recorded the stories of the individuals and artistic practices that were fostered by CETA Title VI funds. These records were compiled and donated to the New York City Municipal Archives shortly after the program ended, and are now publicly available in a single repository."

The next day I hear about what happened later, the wild experiences, strengthened bonds or odd opportunities all of which I would have loved to have been part of! But I left, bc for me, leaving was the smart choice, the safe one. But saying why I left makes the men roll their eyes; nothing happened!

It happens so often it can be hard to even see. Men having the same experience I am, but I hit a place where the attention becomes unpleasant. Inuendos start. I have to wiggle out of something I did not start (cautiously! trying not to upset any dangerous egos!) so I leave, while the men get to stay

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

As many issues as there are w Queen Bees and Wannabes, it's always stuck with me how many girls realized that they were starting to grow into adolescence or young womanhood by having an often older man or men say or do something anywhere from kind of gross and upsetting to outright sexual violence.

Every time some new, horrific news story about rape comes out I just think about how often people conflate sexual desire with the ability to see the other person as fully human, not to mention conflating sexual desire with sexual assault.

It's great to see tailoring accommodate such extreme movement today. This level of tailoring was a bit more common in the past, as you can see in old films featuring Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly, but many modern suits will lift off the wearer's neck even when they're just walking.

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”
APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.
