Whereabouts.
Shitty cellphone picture of a per with 4 Muskoka chairs on it, framed by a tree to the left and top. In the distance, you can see the water, an island, a slightly pink sunset-y sky, the full moon and its reflection on the river. It is absurdly beautiful.

À Winnipeg les nuits sont longues…
Shot from a borrowed bicycle. I’m on the pedestrian/bike bridge between St-Boniface and Winnipeg looking up at the bridge struts and across at the Human Rights Museum. Looking down a skeezy alley at a glorious 12 storey building from a grand proud era - Paris of the Prairies or something. What you can’t see? I’m eating a delicious falafel.

Innocence.
Orange and white tabby with very large eyes, sitting with his tail tucked under him and poking out between his front paws. It’s a mysterious pose, and I cannot explain it.

@fartycheddarcat.bsky.social I was cleaning out a kitchen drawer this morning and found this souvenir of some truly excellent catnip. Bite marks? Well, yes!
My hand holding an empty bag with bite marks on it. Label reads “Catnip - organically grown in Canada by expert kittehs”.

Cat impersonating kangaroo. I don’t know why.
Orange and white cat, shaped like an Easter egg with limbs and a head. in an odd pose on a blanket-covered couch. Hard to describe, but I will try. Lying kinda propped up on one side. Back legs extended. Front legs looking super short and primly folded on his giant middle. Possibly he has a pouch?

Can confirm: it is warmer in Edmonton than Peterborough today. By about 30 degrees.

I see it’s now “President Trump’s Federal Trade Commission“? Well, buddy, a $12.99 reimbursement for an Amazon prime account I may or may not have signed up for doesn't make me like you one iota more. (Even if it is in US dollars.)
Photo of an explanatory note that accompanied a cheque for $12.99 (USD) - the “result of a settlement reached by President Trump’s Federal Trade Commission with Amazon.com regarding allegations that Amazon violated the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act in connection with Amazon Prime.”

For some reason, Elvis’s version of Bridge over Troubled Water required Spanish subtitles (at Dusk to Dawn Brewing Company in not-very-Hispanic Millbrook, ON).
A lei-wearing, bespangled Elvis Presley sings on a television screen. Spanish subtitles appear below the image, saying Quando voce sentir derrotada. I could find an online translator or simply guess that it’s when people say mean things out loud.

NOT quite the #Caturday we were looking forward to.
Orange and white cat wearing a cone of shame. Head is invisible, paw is bandaged (as is his tail, to keep the catheter in place) and he is closely inspecting a beat up couch at the vet’s. Orange and white cat wearing cone of shame, but this time you can see his face. Catheter line in the foreground. He’s stoned out of his gourd.
