A very pale skinned boy with white hair and green eyes (Cameron), he has a subtle smile on his face as he's looking at a black footed ferret (Satch) that is playfully curled around his neck. Cameron is wearing a shirt with an Alien graphic on it

IT'S MURPHING TIIIIME Murphy is from my friend @blackbloodsoul.bsky.social and is a wonderful creature!! #creature #portrait #notmycharacter #art

A long necked creature with a flat face that features only wide open white eyes and horns (Murphy) wearing a collar with a skull on it. Murphy looks incredibly intimidating, as if someone has disturbed the peace.

A bat furry with pink hair with raccoon tails (Velvet) smiling at the camera, she's wearing a one-shoulder tanktop with a skull on it and a mesh one-shoulder shirt under that, the background is a wild mess of teals and magentas

A sheep furry with whipped-cream like wool and chocolate coloured spots (Bailey), he is holding a cup of hot cocoa with whipped cream and sprinkles, looking at it with a tired but content gaze

OH YEAH THAT SNAPPED ME RIGHT OUT OF THE RUT More. @quartermoon.bsky.social's King Solomon is next! He's got style, he's got a snazzy beard, an intimidating gaze and a cool crown! #art #fanart #notmycharacter

Portrait of a pale skinned older bearded man (Solomon) wearing a golden crown, luxuriously shiny scarves, and he has big blue wings behind him. He is looking with a somewhat suspicious angry gaze at the viewer

I got really annoyed at not having arted, needed to get something drawn, my friend @nexusoddity.bsky.social has cool characters, so CASPIA WAS ON THE ARTSY CHOPPINGBLOCK She's so cool!!! :D #art #fanart #notmycharacter

A dark skinned woman (Caspia) with medium short brown hair with a nice crest, she's seen from the side and is giving an unamused side-eye to the viewer. She's wearing a royal blue cloak with a skull on it that has a small floating crown above it

It would be unheard of, me not being back at it any time soon haha I will, it's been a good reminder to rest and take a break, even when I want to make stuff so badly 💜🫶

A human artist who really really REALLY wants to go back to making stuff haha, But you're right, gotta let myself rest a bit more often, even the things I love doing take some energy and I forget that sometimes, thank you ❤️

I'll make more stuff soon I promise Better from the bug I caught but head's still recovering a bit. Got plenty of ideas, just gotta get back into the swing of things!

I honestly should've known, oil pastels can melt and the laminator puts out a whole lot of heat and then the pressure pushing it around... But it was still surprising! Gotta love a bit of experimentation! :D

I think... I got better at drawing eyes with oil pastels than in digital. Digital is still fun tho. Lotta zoning out and just throwing colours at this, kept my woozy head occupied very pleasantly #digitalart #eye #art

KBDraws92 @kbdraws92.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Today I answered my own question of "Oil pastels on thin cardboard/cardstock, can you laminate 'em for preservation?" The answer is Kinda. If it's lightly layered, like on the eye, it works. If the layering is thicc, well, the tree did not survive 🤣 It's a pretty smear tho! #oilpastels #art #eye

Two pieces of art, laminated. One is an eye on a pink background with the text "You see TRASH I see TREASURE", the other used to be a tree lit from behind but has turned into a very pretty smear due to the process of lamination

Same with oil paints. Oil pastels though, they clicked for me! Lot of doing thin layers with blending in between worked ^^
