Alternatively, you can look at yellow KRK series, though I don’t have personal experiences with them.

Yamaha HS series. Affordable, high quality, tried and tested, reasonably flat frequency response, especially if you don’t need to go below 100 Hz, also many different woofer sizes to fit your needs.

…especially since I can see heavy use of MNE under the hood already:)

Btw have you considered making a Python port of this? It would be great to integrate your package as part of an MNE analysis pipeline.

From a musician’s perspective, Spotify is just government-sanctioned piracy. It would be great if the general public was more aware of this.

What happens in the brain when we manipulate our thoughts? We asked 30 epilepsy patients to mentally invert short melodies. Intracerebral #iEEG recordings suggest brain synchrony and sensory inhibition are key for mental manipulation: doi.org/10.1101/2025... #neuroskyence #musicscience

You’re right about tools but I’m not sure if ai-based tools would enable people to be more creative (Lazy, if anything!). Bottom line is, you can’t substitute human creativity with ai.
010
Krzysztof Basiński @kbas.bsky.social · 15/10/2025
Any existing gen ai system is essentially producing the most probable response to the prompt, given the training set. This makes it, by definition, not creative.

I get that. But perhaps what you achieved with the IIT letter is that it encouraged ppl outside of the consciousness field to be more critical of consciousness theories in general. This might not be very apparent in the discourse but it’s still there.

This indicates that perhaps the brain tries to divide the inharmonic sound into multiple auditory objects.
130
Krzysztof Basiński @kbas.bsky.social · 30/04/2025
Unexpectedly (and excitingly!), inharmonic sounds had significantly smaller P2 peaks than harmonic sounds - a response pattern known as object-related negativity, previously observed with auditory stream segregation.
110
Krzysztof Basiński @kbas.bsky.social · 30/04/2025
In contrast, MMN responses became undetectable when the jittering pattern changed between consecutive sounds. This suggests that prediction errors are weighted by sequential but not spectral uncertainty.
110
Krzysztof Basiński @kbas.bsky.social · 30/04/2025
In this study we used EEG to record MMN and P3a mismatch responses - markers of auditory prediction error. Inharmonic sounds with a constant jittering pattern generated similar MMN and stronger P3a responses than harmonic sounds.

Harmonicity is an important property for sound perception and it influences pitch processing, memory or hearing in noisy environments. However, it’s unclear how the brain processes harmonic and inharmonic sounds.
210
Krzysztof Basiński @kbas.bsky.social · 30/04/2025
Many sounds that are important for humans are harmonic complex tones. These include speech, animal calls or sounds of musical instruments. Inharmonic sounds are often described as noises, crackles, pops etc.
