I was only with Hiveworks for 2-3 years, but I always felt it was inevitable it would reach this point. I left before it got this bad, but it was still Very Bad even back in 2016. I wish all the artists luck and success.

Book world sucks sometimes (got a homophobic review on my book’s Amazon page recently yay), but then I get emails from kids who say my book helped them and it’s their favorite thing, and I’m reminded that I don’t care about bigoted adults actually 🤷‍♀️

Redrew an older illustration from 2016! Chapter 2 was one of the more difficult things I've written (so far), but I hope everyone enjoys the murder mystery dinner party. > : )

3 more weeks until my graphic novel is out!! Here are some more examples of newer pages vs. the 2016 webcomic versions (had to move away from blues because of CMYK).

Comic page from Oddity Woods. A girl named Marietta looks down at a letter in her hands before jumping a fence and running into the woods. A man tries to stop her. Text:
Man: KID!! Don't go in there! You'll get lost, or WORSE! KIIID!!!

Marietta continues running deeper into the woods. TEXT:

Marietta: It's all up to me. Partner or not, I'll find him. My official first case... the disappearance of Lucas Candor!

A version of the same comic from 2016. Marietta looks at a letter in her hands before running into the woods. The same man tries following her, but ultimately turns back, afraid. Text:

Man: A-alright! I'm right behind you! On second thought, I'm gonna go et help! So just... just stay there, okay?!

Marietta hides behind a tree, watching the man leave. She takes out a magnifying glass, then runs deeper into the woods, determined. Text:

Marietta: Whatever you say, mister. Okay ghost train, you better watch out! Today's my first day on a real case, and I'm taking you on!

Little Deltarune comic for fun. I liked this scene a lot.

Short comic based on the game Deltarune. Text reads:

Susie: Uhhh... you're, uh... just having a bad dream!
Noelle: H... huh...? Oh... Oh, that's right. Right... if YOU'RE here, it must be a dream...

Text reads:

Noelle: I mean, the REAL Susie probably wouldn't save me, would she...? She probably doesn't care about me at all.
Susie: Why would you, uh... think that?
Noelle: Umm, she doesn't care about anybody. Fahaha...
Susie: Well, FAIR, but... Didja ever wonder why Susie never... picked on you?

Text reads:

Susie: MAYBE it's 'cause, when she first came to class... you lent her one of your pencils. Like, a dumb, uh, candycane-looking one.

Text reads:

Suse: And, even though it DIDN'T actually taste like candy... She, uh, remembered your smile.
