Never EVER quit your job because you had one good month online as a creator. Give it at least 3-6 months to gauge sustainability (both on algorithm/audience side and your creative side) before taking any form of a leap into this.

Want to give major props to @Streamlabs - Their multi-streaming capability has so far been the easiest to use in the market for me (from titling to ingestion to dual format) with now sending four signals out. This is not an ad - just general appreciation for clean, easy to use software.

If you start your livestreams silent and waiting for an audience to appear to talk, you're doing it absolutely wrong. Talk to the empty room if you have to. It's still the show - so make it worth watching to any passerby.

If a brand asks you for usage rights during a campaign, know that that is an entirely separate price than the creation of the work and posting on your own channel.

For the overwhelming majority of creators, their average returning viewership is 5% of their following. If 95 out of 100 people coming to your shows or videos are people who have never seen you before, what are some things you can do to ensure you're greeting these new viewers appropriately?

KawaiiGuy @kawaiiguy.com · 24/09/2026

There is a difference between 1) Observation and 2) Comparison Observation is watching what works and asking why. Comparison is checking someone else's numbers and doomscrolling on the thought. Keep the first habit. Ditch the second. #CreateWithPurpose

The post you spend the least amount of time on will almost always outperform the ones you sit on, craft, or 'perfect' over hours. Don't lose the actual statement you want to make by spending too much time on the process.

Before you add another alert or overlay, another camera or countdown, ask yourself this question: If everything on screen went black except for you and maybe the game, would the show still work? If the answer is no, the extras are covering for something in the execution that you should fix first.

One of the greatest toy stores in Omotesando/Harajuku is Kiddy Land. It is a must visit for anyone who is a fan of character goods! They have been crushing it since 1950 - and in an era where toy stores are hard to come across, it continues to be a breath of fresh air. buff.ly/lVXqD0U

If you're choosing a game to stream, go with the one you can finish either narratively or by session in a reasonable amount of time. (I have learned this the hard way with choosing games that are over 200+ hours long). Very few people are marking their calendars for Part 31 of anything.

Average attention spans are continuing to worsen. We are below 50 seconds now on a single screen. If a person gives you 50 seconds of time at any point in any of your programming, is it providing them some form of value? Think about your beginning, middle and end of shows. #CreateWithPurpose
