My grandfather came from Abruzzo, he worked in a steel mill, and he was dead at 49 years old. By all accounts a lovely man, I never met him. Through him I have Italian citizenship, for which I am grateful. Just my story, there are many. Immigration is the defining characteristic of this nation.

Little Italy (and I lived there for five years, am Italian) is not an ethnic community. It is a tourist attraction. There were some nice Italian businesses left when I was there in the 90s. It's not a thing I don't value, but it's a thing of the past. Knowing your history is important and enriching

There's a speech Tyrion makes that is so bad, it completely undermines Dinklage's entire prior performance. Not his fault, nobody could have made it work. It's the writers, not realizing they have completely blown it, writing a soliloquy about how cool writers are. Cringe isn't even the word.

Throughout the performers and production teams were brilliant. As usual, the people who blew it were the writers, led by the showrunners. The good news is, it turns into such a bizarre and boring plot, I don't consider it a spoiler for the books anymore.
