Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 1hNew @drizzle.team release 😱🤯🥳 github.com/drizzle-team...github.comRelease 0.45.4 · drizzle-team/drizzle-ormFixed postgres-js not using prepared queries on explicit .prepare(name) 010
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 3hThe meaning of the term "owning" has been completely twisted. And here in Switzerland, even if you do "own" a property, you aren't even allowed to paint it however you want. Perhaps people do not care about their data, because they are conditioned to accept that they own nothing and never will. 000
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 3hAtleast here in Switzerland almost nobody properly owns their home or car, everybody has hypothecs - but they still call it "their property". Same goes with websites, emails, domains and phone numbers. We claim to own them, while paying rent. 100
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Less time reinventing css classnames and refactoring class structure, more time to work on the actual UX 020
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Results from the EEG today: I still have no epilepsy and the phantosmia seizures destroying my whole life, stay a mystery 😞 000
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 07/10/2026What the F are we even doing? First corpo disrespectfully trains LLMs on oss code without consent. Next we sell our successful, yet for some reason unsustainable projects to corpo. Then we disable external PRs. Whats next? Make everything closed source again? 010
Reposted by Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭Rasmus Schultz @mindplay.dk · 05/10/2026this approach is a bad trend 🙁👎 how are contributors supposed to know whether you even looked at a PR when every PR gets closed without comment there is no signal just close the PR with no comment - it signals you looked and you closed it it's how GitHub works and it works! this doesn't. 211
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Hate to say it, but it seems like Prisma v6.19 is the last good js orm. Conclusion after trying to migrate from Prisma v6.19 to Prisma 7 / Drizzle v1 RC4. Both promise performance improvements, but end up 2-5 times worse than v6.19. I hope Drizzle v1 RC5 (coming in 2037) will change things 😅. 000
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 06/10/2026So Drizzle is faster than Prisma - until it isn't 🫠. I am currently benchmarking @drizzle.team with Nitropage and the relational queries are 2-3 times slower compared to Prisma 6.19 🙈. github.com/drizzle-team...github.com[BUG]: RQB-V2 creates low performing queries in MySQL and Postgres · Issue #5245 · drizzle-team/drizzle-ormReport hasn't been filed before. I have verified that the bug I'm about to report hasn't been filed before. What version of drizzle-orm are you using? v1:beta8 What version of drizzle-kit are you u... 120
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 05/10/2026One of the main use cases, I can see, even for small-mid size companies, is especially with law related content, e.g. think de_DE vs de_CH, one is in EU, the other isn't, so the context can vary a lot. 110
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Awww thank you so much 😊, Editable is also super cool and I enjoy comparing the outcomes of our different decision making. One thing in particular I am already jealous of is that you do not have to fiddle with iframe realm problems by using overlays instead of the sidebar 😂. 100
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Yeah I think both can be the underlying reason. Regional differences however makes it much more likely 🙈. If you currently do not support region codes in the LANGUAGES env, I'd recommend to first focus on that before the unlinking feature 😅. 110
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Regarding the layout having to be the same for all languages. For the i18n of my own visual builder I plan to allow optional unlinking of the layouts, so you get the best of both world. Maybe thats a i18n v1.1 idea for Editable 😁. 200
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Seems to be simple to use and probably covers most of the cases 🙂👍. In this example you just showed text changes. Can you also e.g. have different pictures per language? Can you have different navigation items per language 😅? 200
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Congrats especially for that i18n 👏! Tough feature to get right, I know as I am also conceptualizing it for my own visual builder since months 😅🙈. 110
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The alternative is to move to Codeberg and still have fun with Open Source 😎 030
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Stop using LLMs is the answer. You stop purchasing products from disrespectful companies. You stop supporting them to steal art, texts and code from other human beings. You have to learn again, you have to care again and you have to take your time again. But you will feel excited again. 040
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I am so glad I started developing my own CMS over three years ago 😅 011
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Being disabled and watching time simply pass by is depressing. But being disabled and witnessing people around me die, without even being able to be there for them, is depressing in an entirely different way. 150

Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Oh man, this reminds me about how much I actually loved Episode 1 art as a kid, looking at it felt a bit like sweet swiss chocolate back then 😅. 010
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Nowadays I keep working on them, because I love coding, because I love seeing my projects grow, because I love the rare but real moments when I see my projects making others lifes easier and lastly because I am just really a stubborn diehard perfectionist who almost never gives up. 2/2 031
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I am in the lucky position where very few cared about my OSS projects to begin with, even before LLMs, so there hasn't changed a lot for me 🥴. But in the past there still was the hope that one day more people would care, that hope is pretty much wiped. 1/2 120
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 24/09/2026How many Star Wars T-Shirts do you own actually 😂? 110
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Getting closer and closer 🙂. The performance improvement from the migration to @drizzle.team is looking very promising 🚀👏! 000

Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 11/09/2026This! Honestly I think there also would be some need for StGallenCSS or BernSQL 😂, lets make it happen 😎👍. 110
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Finally meeting many of the awesome faces from the OSS world in real, feels like taking off a VR headset you had on for far too many years. Thanks to all @zurichjs.com organizers for making this possible, I am grateful for having been able to witness such a masterful event ❤️💪! *notification beep* 3211
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Joining @zurichjs.com tomorrow 🥳, thanks to the amazing @farisaziz.com and @atila.io 🤩💪, they helped me out as my budget currently is a bit limited 😅. 1172
Reposted by Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭Luca Schneider @luca.schneider.is · 10/09/2026We've successfully expanded beyond react. Our first version of solid support is up. npmx.dev/package/@yak... We're working on making this better and faster, but it's great to see that our concept works across frameworks. Let's see which framework comes next 🕵️npmx.dev@yak/solid - npmxSolidJS runtime for yak: styled-components syntax, compiled to plain CSS at build time. Targets Solid 2. 3194
Katja Lutz 🦋🇨🇭 @katywings.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Aaaand, the Store Finder is released as well :] - this will become available as built-in (open source) blueprint in Nitropage later, the code needs a bit more cleaning-up before general use. llum-spectacles.com#get-yours 030
