I had a different administrator say during an assembly in front of my entire senior class after I filed my report that “some students tend to hold grudges from things that happened years ago”. Nothing ever happened to my abuser, or any admin. He was able to fall upwards forever.

I filed a Title IX report. School administrators told my mom I was “vindictive”, and refused to act. My only request? I didn’t want my abuser in any more classes with me, because he was stalking and harassing me. Instead, I was treated horribly for the rest of my years at school.

I was the good girl. I got good grades, my teachers liked me, I was involved with clubs on campus. And none of it mattered when I went to report what had happened to me. I had to report 3 different times to 3 different people. No one took it seriously.

[TW: SA] I almost never talk about this, much less publicly, but I was sexually assaulted in high school. I did almost everything “right” — I waited to report because of COVID; and I’ll never forget how awful and traumatic the entire process was. And yes, I got no “justice.”

Second period of this #Canes game is going… as what I expected. Reminder: it’s preseason, and this game is mostly rookies / AHL guys playing against NHL guys. Feel like the only real takeaways we can get here are on FLA or on Kochetkov (and there’s an argument for the Wolves).
