Jeffrey Archer did a talk at my 6th form in about 1991, just before one of his novels was published. He read an extract of said novel in an excruciating cockney accent. There was a Q and A afterwards. My friend asked a question referencing the infamous brown envelope. Archer was furious.

Dropped the cat off at the vets for her dental surgery. She basically turned into a little warm furry puddle, poor thing. Thermometer up the bum again (her not me). She was very brave. Just hope it all goes ahead smoothly.

Dropping cat#1 off at the vets at 8.30 tomorrow for her teeth surgery. I'm kind of worried she'll think we're abandoning her. She's so scared when she's there. She doesn't lash out or anything, just cowers 🥺 .

We've been to the vets so few times (just annual boosters) that I had to tell MissK to remind me to stay and pay for the consultation rather than just walking out like you do at the doctors and being chased down by the receptionists.

62 quid for a thermometer up the bum (The cat, not me). Anyway she's booked in for "a dental" on Monday. A fractured tooth and a grubby tooth that are probably causing her tummy issues. So hopefully all will be well once they're gone.
