Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 25/08/2026Thank you! Now if only I wasn’t so slow about it. 110
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 24/08/2026The only chance to get the bastards in D.C. investigated and held accountable is by showing up in such big numbers in November they can’t deny the count. “Too Big to Rig.“ Make it happen. 120
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 24/08/2026American Pastoral. I got tired of waiting on hold for it at the library. 🤣 110
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 24/08/2026Today’s book mail. Some women collect shoes, some collect husbands. I like my choices. 170
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 15/08/2026Frankly, this platform is where social media posts that can’t be shared elsewhere because they’d mess up engagement come to die. 030
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 15/08/2026Have you noticed all the bot accounts creeping in? The place blows. 110
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 14/08/2026Really getting tired of being governed by the “it’s easier to appeal than follow the law” administration. 010
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 14/08/2026“Welp.” I sit at my desk and slap both thighs with my hands. “This world-changing novel isn’t going to write itself. I’m not going to write it, either, but why not spend another morning pretending otherwise?” 050

Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 14/08/2026That you’ve gone back at all is a huge step and I’m sure he‘s proud of you! 010
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 14/08/2026My dad was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer last month. Today I got to tell him that I’m getting published. He knows why I had to stop writing 32 years ago, and how hard it’s been trying to find my voice again. You’re never too old to make your parents proud. 170
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 14/08/2026Unpopular but true: if you refuse to click through links and read the actual article, you have no one but yourself to blame for having misinformed, skewered opinions spread thin over a vast chasm of ignorance. 020
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026Not surprisingly, this particular sub read like AI. Shocker. 000
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026As a reader for a couple of lit journals, may I also add that using a single name as an author (especially if you use numbers in the spelling) is not the power move you think it is. 020
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026I may need to do that with all the spider plants. They’re looking rough. 010
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026Friend said “Oh, those little bugs were from my plants? I thought they were getting into my house through the screens.” This is how many were in my place after just a couple of days. I pity the people moving into her place! 🤣 130
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026“Every day he put on the captain’s hat from their anniversary cruise. They had entered the ship’s talent contest as Captain and Tenille and won matching cruise keychains. He began roaming the hallways at night, flashlight in hand.“ 011
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026Just got my first-ever short story acceptance. I’ve been wrestling with this story (and my voice) for a couple months. New end came to me last night in my sleep so I rewrote it and @doricliterary.bsky.social accepted it this evening with a tentative publish date of 12/1. So grateful and thrilled! 3131
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 13/08/2026We are now at the point in the heatwave when they’re teasing us with promises of relief Thursday… no, Friday… ope, maybe Saturday now. It’s making me extra cranky and I wasn’t very pleasant to start with. 160
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 12/08/2026I give up asking for it to make sense, I just want someone to make it stop. www.washingtontimes.com/news/2026/au...washingtontimes.comTrump vs. trumpets: New tariff plan hits the orchestra’s brass sectionThe Trump administration this week declared tubas, trombones, trumpets and French horns a national security threat. 010
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 12/08/2026Kinda weird how the “fight, fight, fight” guy cowered in a catering cart when there weren’t cameras around. 140
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 12/08/2026Putting your craft first. That‘s a definite win! 010
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 12/08/2026Always said I’ll know it’s time to remarry when I meet a man with a rolling ladder in his home library. 141
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 12/08/2026Slight reduction in the infestation today. I’ve got blue light traps in two spots, plus sticky traps in every plant, and did a hydrogen peroxide flush of each pot. Still feeling pestered. 150
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026The authors using (and denying they use) AI will have them to you within the week. 110
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026Normalize muting or unfollowing the accounts of people who can’t tell the damn difference between actual writing and AI, especially when they claim to be writers. And sorry, but a sexy author photo and sob story don’t overcome all the signs + multiple 100% AI scores on Pangram. 021
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026And thank you for the beautiful start to the day. 000
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026HAH! I expect to hear from her later today when she reaches her destination. I‘m curious to know if she was aware of the gnats at all. 020
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026Thanks, me too. They’re everywhere. I’ve never seen anything like this. 030
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026Wish I could but my apartment doesn’t have a balcony. I’m letting them dry out until they’re almost dead. Maybe that’ll do it? 020
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026He couldn’t fit in a catering cart and we all know it. 110
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026They’re like fruit flies but they hang out and breed in plant soil and damp areas. And the vinegar traps do nothing about them. Blue light attracts them, so every time I use my phone or computer I’m swarmed. Sticky traps caught hundreds today. Hundreds!!! They’re EVIL! 130
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026Also, had to explain to another friend that the red mark on my face is from me slapping at one of these little f@-$kers that flew at my eyes. 050
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026Friend is traveling for an year and gifted me her houseplants. Three days later, they gifted me a fungus gnat infestation. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. It’s a constant onslaught! Picking up sticky traps, blue light traps & gallons of hydrogen peroxide tomorrow. My god. 440
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026Hm. Did he insure the country, because that would explain a lot. 090
Katherine Argent @katherineargent.com · 11/08/2026You just know he’s using Meta AI to write for him. 120
