Today at church I sat (as I usually do) in front of two old boys: David & Danny. I love them both. But it is like sitting in front of the two old boys from the muppets. You get a running commentary of everything in stage whispers. Including when they get lost in the hymn/service book>>

Half term day 4: Walked to the next village to the gp for a blood test. Was home by 10. Spent the rest of the day eating reading sleeping and watching tv. Now I’m going out to dinner in TWells- no cocktails though, I’m driving!

Half term day 5: 10am holy communion service with the Wednesday faithfuls (I didn’t ask who the traitors were!) then coffee with them. Crafted all afternoon then Waitrose (closest but also most expensive). Now baking a pecan & banana cake then making tortilla lasagne for dinner.

I’ve always loved the 6 weeks. Never seen so much support for it. I also get the “2 weeks at the end of each half term & 4 in the summer” argument. Except that it doesn’t stack up. We get 13 weeks. To have 2 weeks x 5 (Oct, Xmas, Feb, Easter, may) only leaves 3 for the summer. 🤷‍♀️

Did you know that if the Special school place funding had tracked inflation, there would have been a cumulative additional £1.4 billion pounds (based on an average 100,000 children in the system) allocated to Special schools. This year alone my school would have been £431k better off. #SEND #EduSky
