I went birding in Tarifa today to celebrate my birthday and saw one of the rarest bird species in the whole world. A group of northern bald ibis - there are only 600ish left in the wild and we saw 15 of them, one of the most special and overwhelming birding moments of my life!

from an AR perspective there are some things I didn’t enjoy like the insinuation that animals ‘give’ themselves to us, objectifying non-humans by referring to them as ‘it’ and so on but as far as a not explicitly anti-speciesist book goes the good in it outweighs the questionable

I am really glad I finally read this book. I found it richly profound and moving and tender. I loved the poetic prose, it’s hands down the most beautiful nature writing I’ve ever read. So abundant and astute and hopeful

in Jan last year we filmed a huntswoman illegally chasing a fox with a pack of hounds. I'm glad something has come of this, but shows the new licensing scheme is not fit for purpose and will be exploited by those who wish to kill foxes as they did in the past. We need a REAL ban.

silken tofu pb chocolate puddings 🤎🥜🍫 blend up a 300g block of silken tofu, 100-150g melted vegan chocolate, couple spoons of cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla and then swirl in some melted peanut butter, let set in the fridge and sprinkle with a bit of flaky salt 😩 amazing
