a lot of these streets are literally there because they were built as excuses to demolish neighborhoods (394 was an excuse to demolish a bunch of jewish neighborhoods, that awful 35 interchange demolished a bunch of black neighborhoods etc) and then they keep expanding the roads and shrinking yards

its funny thinking about how much of the twin cities is just paved street. it's gotta be like 65% of the entire land surface by now

i know the ace company jacked up prices on the franchises, but idk. i worked for ace at a franchise in the bay area for awhile and they managed to keep their prices actually pretty competitive. but then there were other stores to shop at south mpls aces have us kinda by the balls, so few stores
