And what fortunate timing! Happy birthday Jack Kirby! His work still brings so much joy, beauty and the AWESOME to the world even today! Heh and to think I almost forgot when it's literally printed in my calendar ;)

Got my copy of Orion by @ngoziu.com It. is. SO. GOOD. The story is creative, the art is wonderful, and most of all it's written with love for the characters. 100% created by a true Fourth World fan. And so enjoyable that I read the whole thing straight through last night, couldn't put it down!!!

And he's even on the cover?? Heck yeah!

020

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

Metron says "Please recycle" Happy Earth Day!

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 21/02/2026

Friends, I got to meet the original Metron today 💙 And I brought along the first and most recent New Gods runs to meet him too

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 03/02/2026

Someone may have got a laser engraver recently

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 20/01/2026

Im sure I've shared all these before, but never underestimate my desire to do show and tell. Ive got other books but here's all my comic stuff (minus two short boxes).

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

I feel very confident in saying I'm the only person who has ever put together a Metron ita bag. I left some space for expansion too! I'll make a few more charms for myself later :3

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 28/12/2025

I think I can safely say I'm the first person to draw the Gävle Goat as Metron. Gävletron perhaps? #metron #gävlebocken

000

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 26/11/2025

If Metron met his other incarnations. Or something like that. "For science?" "For science." "...Maybe we should rethink this experiment?"

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

Still thinking more about creativity. I've been on-again-off-again with art my whole life, never wanting to do it enough to have any real discipline. But today I really enjoyed sitting down and making something from nothing. #metron in micron pen on paper.

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 08/11/2025

I haven't drawn since July, and now that I think of it, I haven't really posted much fan art here in general. So yeah, here's #Metron

000

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 04/08/2025

I think he's getting taller 🤔 #metron

Ah, and the text at the bottom is this

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 28/07/2025

Went to a con this past weekend (no, not That con), and was able to get this infamous comic page signed by the excellent @kevinmaguire.bsky.social The scoff he made when I said Metron is my favorite was priceless, because honestly? That's the correct reaction 😂 Thank you sir!

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

Friends, this just arrived (pictured with the loose #1 and the Absolute editions I already own). The New Gods 1971 collection is complete!

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

Visited Mile High Comics on Monday and saw someone familiar

040

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 14/06/2025

Would love a Metron in your style (no rush tho)! And thank you for offering this. Adore your art, and happy to support an important org

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 11/06/2025

Woo! I got mine! And of course I'm immediately looking for any mention of Metron. Came across this gem, which is 100% true btw 😂

031

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 30/05/2025

Feeling ways about Lightray in @therightram.bsky.social's New Gods #6, so here's a short fan song I wrote. Not sure I did such a beautiful issue justice, but wow I was inspired and this song just flew out of me!

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

This is the reason to have posable figures right? #metron #newgods #hesfiiiine

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

My dude, I don't think those glasses fit you

030

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 18/04/2025

I have a copy of that issue displayed proudly on my wall! I think it's my favorite Metron appearance, which is saying a lot 😁 Love the cover, and seeing the original art is WOW

020

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 07/04/2025

I havent read anything Gimmick Girl is in, but ive come across her as an unexpected cameo during my comic travels!

120

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 07/04/2025

Almost forgot to put this here. Did this drawing recently! Mister Miracle as a symbol of freedom and "a miracle in the flapping of gentle wings" #newgods #mistermiracle #scottfree #fanart

030

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Just noticed this parallel. @therightram.bsky.social making me feel ways in #4 about what it means for Highfather to again don the armor he once rejected and wield his staff in the name of battle #newgods

061

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 05/04/2025

Lmao he wasn't wrong Plus! Tons of fun references, I appreciate the witch "kid", the aged down version of characters are actually delightful (the metal miniatures omg), and the story was nice! Fffff dying at the Rizz Kid. It makes too much sense 🤣 Honestly great for young readers and old ✌️

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 03/04/2025

I just picked up Jimmy O's SuperCyclopedia. Only a few pages in and it's very cute and fun. And I've gotta say I did chuckle at this part 😂 @bitchinville.bsky.social @sandyjarrell.com

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

I love DC Year by Year, it's such a fantastic coffee table book. But who let this typo in the index fly? I'm dying. Merton. MERTON. #merton i mean #metron

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

"Metron's objectivity was illusory" FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME Idk which writer did this blurb, but I thank you for your service. So many people seem to take his impartiality at face value and assume he really is completely objective. You mean "the supreme meddler"?? 😂

050

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

Yoooo I bought a used copy of the Black Magic Edition!

121

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 24/03/2025

Mine is something different! Something that was not foreseen!

020

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 21/03/2025

Metron has discovered a valuable artifact. No telling what he will do with it 🤔

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

It's real similar, and we all know there's at least two thirds of a lantern symbol. But then again theres also the w, and the stuff about a lasso and darkest scarab sooooooo... Much to think about. #newgods

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

It's pony tail Ganthet who tried to eliminate the New Gods???? :0

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

Expansion complete! I need to rearrange the bottom shelf, and someday if i have to i can expand to the wall on the right. But i am SO pleased with how this turned out. I can showcase all my faves, and easily swap out or read whenever!

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

A bit late on some #newgods #fanart from issue 2, but i could not stop thinking about this.

020

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

Am i NOT supposed to be thinking about Metron's latex suit and his exposed artist glove fingers? I just want to know the thought process behind this. Yknow, for science. #newgods #metron

181

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 03/02/2025

The way this rearranged the chemical makeup in my brain #metron #newgods

020

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

Everyone's posting their nice reviews of #TheNewGods 2 and I have so many thoughts but for now this is what I'm going with (and yes it's a compliment)

010

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

Would LOVE to know the design decision behind giving Metron drawing gloves. What kind of in-universe explanation could this possibly have 😅

000

Kate @katedoesntexist.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

Some New Gods #1 fanart because I can't stop thinking about the task Lightray wasn't selected for, the nature of it unbeknownst to him. Sometimes it's about what doesn't take place rather than what does.
